Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere. I am not a doctor or a health expert, but I couldn’t help but notice that Wilder seems to have lost quite a lot of weight on his face, possibly body too. I understand weight loss is a common thing around the world, but he seems to have lost a lot in the space of about a week or two. It also seems as if this is not a “healthy weight loss” but more of an unhealthy strategy of losing weight. What I am alluding to is possible lack of sleep? Lack of food? Consistent Drinking? (We know he is not shy from the old Peroni)

Whatever is it, I really hope he is okay and the evident weight loss is not due to the capitulation over the last couple of weeks. I know he gets stick from a number of fans and the football hasn’t been great on the eye this season - but you cannot disagree that he eats, breaths and sleeps United ❤️ Some things are just sometimes more important than football and men out there are generally reserved and don’t speak out when they should (myself included).

Of course this may not be a cause of concern and he might have taken advantage of Pure Gyms new customers offer - but I thought it would be relevant to raise.

He's been on a fitness regimen for a long time ,cycling etc

He’s regularly yo yoed in weight since his first spell here. In our first spell however good we were doing mirrored his weight/ look of health. It’s the case with most managers that are obsessive. He looks healthy to me, just not as large a chap as when he was managing Boro/ Watford.

I don't think he's on ozempic but can't obviously say as I don't know.

I'd guess he's perhaps fasting and exercising more. Chris has fluctuated a bit with weight over the past 5 or 6 yrs too.

Agree he’s been looking rough, think we all have. It contrasts with how he was looking a while back, overweight and ruddy. Looked like he was ready for a heart attack any minute so hopefully it’s just down to “the situation”.

As for him getting stick, got to disagree with the first part of your sentence but totally agree with the second half.

I don’t go after Wilder personally, that’s just wrong, I want a new manager not because I dislike him, I love him for what he’s done for this club. It’s his Bladiness that made McCabes claim that there was no bigger Blade than old Kev so funny. Wilder out Blades Warnock but he’s not the man for what we need next. Take the plaudits and a wedge Chris, I’ll forgive and forget the back door exit but come back to the terrace and enjoy being Mr Sheffield United, but end on a high first ;)

I noticed the pronounced weight loss about the face too. Good points.

couldnt agree more 56 as one who advocated for wilder first time round when many blades were against the idea i was sceptical about his return to the club but same as you i think we need to move on now and bring a younger more progressive manager in having said that if we win play offs he will stay

He's got a fight with Connor Ben coming up

He looks a lot healthier for it. With the stress a football manager goes through you dont want to add extra pressure on your heart by being overweight so he's almost certainly took things into his own hands and decided to do something about it. Full marks to the man.

Talking of stress and weight Steve Evans should take a leaf out of his book !

Why would he lose weight by 'consistent drinking (Peroni)'?
