An old fella outside said it was Covid related

But there were some additional words used and a tone of blame towards a major Asian nation.

I recently discovered bisto chip shop curry sauce granules. Not as good as the chippy chips and curry sauce but as a quick treat….
My daughter introduced me recently to "Mayflower medium curry sauce mix". Available at all good retail outlets

Don't ask for a JLT Bacon sani when you go in there...you end up having to walk 2 miles to get the testing thing..

That's the bollocks.

I have it on good authority that it's what's used in most Chinese food establishments (Ex used to work for an Asian food importer - Only thing I miss about the bitch😅)

It may have changed but when I tried it a few years ago I thought it was poor .

By far the best I’ve come across is the Goldfish brand one which is sold at a number of Supermarkets including Sainsbury’s and Morrison’s .

The chippy is open tonite ( Hull game),i have just spoken with the owner she has told me the reason they were closed is that her husband had passed away, feel very sorry for her,her husband was a really nice fella, always cheerful.

Worked down there when I was a teenager in a garage, used to go to that chippy but they never did it back then. Was out picking bits and bats up over Christmas one Saturday with a mate and he suggested we went there for chicken curry and chips.

Lovely stuff !

Shred some cooked chicken into it(usually leave some on the Sunday dinner joint on purpose)a roughly chopped onion and a hand full of frozen peas.
It's the mutts nuts with some proper chips 😜😜😜😜

Similar.
I fry off some chicken chunks in garlic, chuck that in with some onion, mushrooms, frozen peas and sometimes King prawns.
Then serve with egg fried rice and prawn crackers🤤
