Remember it well...It was our 'centenary' anniversary game at home. My little sister was the mascot, and we hadn't been beaten at home for yonks, probably the whole league season. Chessy turn up and complete the double over us :(
My sister has been blamed for the defeat for 28 years :p

In the away game I think Andy Morris (Bruno) got the winner. They always seemed to get the better of us back then.

I've got extended family in Chesterfield and sometimes call into a pub up there. Their dislike of Sheffielders is very apparent. My sister also lives up there and I know she now looks down her nose at Sheffielders which I find amazing as she was brought up here. Her two sons are the same.

It's just strange to see the dislike for us in general when I think most of us don't give them a second thought. There attitude is very much the same as Barnsley if not a little more extreme.

How people who live in Chesterfield can feel superior to those of us who are blessed to live in Sheffield is beyond me. Don't they open their eyes when they go outside?
 
What's the least tickets or part of the ground we can give them,cos I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to come to someone else's party if my best mates just fucked off with me wife.

Obviously Chesterfield fans should want to watch their team play against us. Why shouldn't they? And what would be the point of denying them tickets we wouldn't sell anyway? Or are we all pigs all of a sudden and likely to sell every seat in the ground.

If we were to be crowned champions that day why wouldn't we sell out every seat? It's very possible IMO.

I don't think you'll see a single blade, maybe a few loyalty point whores but thats all.
but to the topic its not like we're big rivals really, I don't hate chesterfield at all.
If with do leave it to the last game they may find enjoyment in beating us and stopping automatic promotion.
Unlikely yeah but a few will turn up anyway, if its for the loyalty points or just to watch a game, football is football what ever the conditions arem some just want to watch their club play.

Think your wrong there mate. I reckon we will sell out the home areas for the chessie game whether winning the league or just promotion depends on the points or even if it's just to celebrate leaving this awful league with the job already done.
 



Just hope it doesn't end up with a couple of hundred cheesy fans on the bl lower like the scunny match.

At 0-3 yesterday they had fans walking out and leaving and it wasn't even halftime
 
I think what he's saying is..... it would be very disappointing to see a lot of empty seats in the away end.

And I agree. We could easily sell 30,000+. Everybody will crawl out of the woodwork for this one.
 
It would be nice -albeit very unlikely if at all if they stopped Bolton winning next week to delay their inevitable relegation and give us some breathing space. Probably a miracle needed though

No. Just give Chezzy the lower tier.
We won't sell 30k plus. We didn't against Scunny or Bolton and if a few chinese students want to rock up and can't get in tough fucking shit.
