Anyone else remember that smug prat on Praise or Grumble early in the season who said Ched would fire them to promotion and United could have him back for £2m if we wanted to stay up?

My sides.

Yes i did Karma to say the least.

Can't say I blame them. Like us over the years, they've had their best players sold from under them, Dave Allen up to his old tricks and anybody is surprised they're struggling? But Barnsley are the worst - going well at a level that is probably above them and BOOM! Flog Winnall and Hourihane on practically the same day. I've lived through United selling Deane and Fjortoft on the same day, but if I was a Barnsley fan, I'd walk away never to return.

Not the only one what Barnsleys owners have done is criminal to say the least.

Blunts is probably the shittiest "pisstake" nickname around.

I don't know what you think of when you see it but I think spliffs :p

They are in orbit.

Seriously though, why isn't Piggy Allen banned from owning football clubs after he almost took the pigs out of business?

Daft as it sounds, I wouldn't put it past them to come and piss on our party. I remember when we were last promoted from this league, they were relegated but still did the double over us. I know that can't happen this time, and both our fates will be sealed by then. I asked one of my mates if he would like to come and sit with me on the Kop but he less than gratefully declined my offer.

A few Blades were saying the same on here.

You could build a pretty good side out of former Chesterfield players who have been flogged off since Dave Allen stopped bankrolling the club and decided he wanted his money back. It would include:

Liam Cooper (Leeds)
Sam Clucas (Hull)
Tendayi Darikwa (Burnley)
Gary Roberts (Portsmouth)
Eoin Doyle (Portsmouth)
Jay O'Shea (Blades)
Sam Morsy (Wigan)

All those players have been replaced by cheap crap, but it's hard to feel sorry for most of Chesterfield's fans. They never learned that it's a good idea to be nice to people on the way up because you will meet them again on the way down. Some of them still seem to be under the illusion that United supporters consider them as rivals when the truth is that most of us just don't think about them at all.

And James Bree slightly before. Heckingbottom must feel well betrayed. Having said that Barnsley couldn't have afforded the dosh they are on now.

TBH I wouldn't offer any away tickets. I would sell the ground out to Blades fans so all the regular true long suffering supporters (and as many part time glory grabbing Blades fans) can turn up for the party.

I wish we had a scout who could find players like that.

Nice idea mate they certainly don't seem to be many coming.
But I bet it would be against FL regulations and would probably result in a 25 point deduction for us.

Looking at their forum they look like they will be bringing less than Fleetwood did on a Tuesday night ( No disrespect to Fleetwood) couldn't we just stick them in one of the corporate boxes.

Ched Evans looking on as he applauds Wilder's red and white wizards in a guard of honour for winning the title..

The irony would be off the charts.

I guess the prospect of clapping Jay O'Shae after he's bagged a couple of goals might sting a little also...

Yes one of the few times i've listened to P&G this season, it threw up this gem. I hope Radio Sheff play that before the game!

Allen's only real issue at Chesterfield was letting Cook go... But then replacing him with Dean Saunders was pretty unforgivable.

Chesterfield fans have abandoned their club when the club need the fans the most. When they released the accounts and only just broke even after so many players, they shouldve had a wake up call that they're not really competing. Sacking Wilson and Morgs wasn't really the answer, but now they have to rebuild the club as a feeder club...

Give them 1000 in the lower tier and segregate it, many other teams seem to manage to be able to segregate the crowds by putting a few stewards there i am sure we could do the same.

Good. Well, if they're all not going that means I'll be able to get the train from Chesterfield rather than bugger about going to Alfreton for it.
