Not read this yet obviously as it's just been posted but a lot of Chelsea fans on twitter expecting him to get a lot of game time here and rate him very highly, I suspect he'll have to earn his position first though as is the Wilder way.

Roy, put yet slate and chalk away, that's an order, we can't cope.....

These big clubs have some very thick supporters that just live in a bubble. You can tell the real fans from the armchair plastics.

“Great mentality and I truly believe he’ll end up being better than Rice.
Don’t want to spend 70 odd million on Rice when we already have Ampadu in all honesty.”

“Ampadu for me is better than Rice who is hugely overated, bang average”

“While we are busy twerking for Declan Rice, Ampadu might just turn out to be an equal alternative.”

“Honestly don’t understand and I wunt still admit it why lampard would leave Ampadu and be chasing Rice up and down. Can someone Else relate with me?”

Southgate spent so long persuading Rice to play for England and not the ROI that he's lost sight as to how average Rice is - really can't believe what Chelsea are going to pay for him.

Bonkers - plain bonkers.

Hope the lad does well for us.

Interesting views there, they obviously rate him highly but have doubts he’ll push his way into our defence. Good option for us if one goes down it sounds

On the whole decent views from them. I actually like being referred to as Sheffield, we represent the full city these days!

“More like it will be very interesting to see if he plays. I dont know who the retard is that keeps on sending Ampadu on loans to fully established teams. What he needs now is game time and i would honestly have preferred him to go to a team fighting relegation but guaranteeing him 90 mins instead of him just adding squad depth to Sheffield utd. "

How times have changed 😁 Nice comments Roy thanks.

No way will our back 3 be so lucky again with injury and suspension. A very shrewd move by Wilder.
I hope he gets his chance and rips it up, pushing our back 3 on even more. I hope he enjoys it so much, he doesn’t want to go back to Chelsea, who have youngsters galore waiting for a chance like this.

Agree , Jack has been a bit of a sick note since lockdown!

Some cracking comments from Chelsea fans, some worried he will not get game time says a lot about our defence but that is the point of a loan to see if he is good enough to displace good Premier League defenders. If he is good enough then happy days Chelsea will know they have a top player and we as a team are improved big pressure on the lad to perform and big pressure on our defenders to keep him on the bench win win.
A good move for the lad as he would have little chance of game time at Chelsea with the amount of players they are stockpiling and so far this window they have spent more than £200m on players and are still recruiting. Crazy amounts of money like the national debt of a third world country.

What I worry about with this loan is that he actually displaces one of the 3 and then at the end of the season we have , 1 player returning to his parent club and the other wanting a transfer.
The positive is that we have a good season this year but are weakened next year.
