Cheering the goal

Like I said, whatever floats your boat. Could work for some people.

So where in my post does it suggest that? If you read it properly, it says that I - that's me, Jon Bon - am sick to the back teeth with hearing people complain and whinge time and time and time again about the same thing, without having the nous or the gumption to do something positive about it. That doesn't say that you're not entitled to complain without direct action, does it?

With the amount of folk moaning and whinging around me on the Kop yesterday, those ringing P&G to moan and those on here and other forums, you would have thought that out of a crowd of 23,000, there would have been more than the dozen or so in the car park who felt strongly enough about the club and the current situation to want to try to make their feelings known to the top brass.

I was in the car park last time (kept my shoes on though), as was LS26, as was Brownie and many others, as we all will again if we feel the time is right.

In the meantime, we will carry on voicing our opinions on messageboards in the vain hope that someone who matters will actually read it.

Fair do's. I was also there last time and will be again on Tuesday if the same fare gets served up again.

Well i got to the 'not going to go' point along time ago, now i'm getting to the 'not going to bother to listen to it' point. And that has never ever happened to me, if I'm not there I'm listening and pacing up and down, but I'm even finding the listening bit hard now.

It wasn't so much that for me, but it's definitely the first time I've sat and stared into space, huffing and puffing my cheeks with "couldn't actually care less, would rather be elsewhere" apathy.

I'm not sure why my breaking point was today, it's not even as if we lost.

Ooh, no, I've done that before. Loads of times.

I can remember sitting on the Kop reading the Independent (a broadsheet at the time) during a match against Ipswich when Heath was in charge, and almost demonstrably so. What really summed it up was when I was asked by the guys behind not to turn the page as they hadn't finished reading yet.

They weren't joking either.

Keep feeling that these rants are partly aimed at me, as it seems to be my post that sparked them off, but you won't find anything posted on here by me even remotely similar to my posts last night. I've been completely patient up until yesterday, which did it for me.

You might hear lots of different people agreeing with each other, but it isn't necessarily "time and time again". It definitely isn't on my part, anyway.

I have drafted a letter. I have tried to be concise and keep the ranting down, but it's ever so hard. If nothing else, I've realised that it can't be indifference I'm feeling, because I've got really, really angry when writing it.

It's 1,760 words now, which is far too long. I'll cut it down in the morning when I'm a little calmer and it will be sent off, along with my season card, fairly soon.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say.

I don't really care if you believe me or not. I'm not expecting anyone to follow my lead and I'm not trying to organise a mass protest. I am just doing something because it feels like the right thing to do, personally.

If you don't agree, coolio, whatever.

Nothing sinister - I'm just interested in whether you're sending your season card in before the end of the season or after?

Either way it's the same message you're sending, but one way costs you a lot more than t'other!

Before. I can't go to the Blackpool game anyway because I'm working, but in the next couple of days, it'll be in the post.
