To those who went,

Was it as good as it looked on the telly? Just wish he could have done that a few times this season. Hopefully this is the first of many more!!!! I have slated the lad a couple of times and feel he could have done better but I always held some hope that he had potential.....

Sunday was an example of the types of goals ive seen him score for Norwich and Wales. Well taken boyo!

Yes, reyt goal. Proper good ball in then BANG thought it would go wide but it was a real PL quality shot

And also i bet he loved scoring there..... Again!

I for one thought it was a screamer, it had everything. We all knew he had it in him, it was just a case of getting it out of him. With a bit of luck KB may realise that his main strikers, Cressy (4 in 5), Evans and Sharp, like balls to feet, in the box, and that we have the players to do it. Players who will do it week in week out if given the opportunity

He's had his problems and I think when he plays alongside Hendo, he's the one that's had to drop off and it's just not his game. Definitely one for next season IMO if we use him properly and get the right players i.e Yeates and a n other on the wings.

Was a quality finish and you can't play down the approach play either...

Cressy let the ball do the work, didn't panic and played a perfectly weighted ball to Yeates who in turn played a good cross for Chedwyn to bang in.

There is a perception amongst many posters that Blackwell is clueless and doesn't know how to get the best out of his strikers. Last season it was Billy; this season Ched.

But if that is so, why has Cresswell had one of his most productive seasons ever?

It's a funny old game...

I think the simple answer to that is that Cresswell is a very versatile and workman-like forward. It isnt difficult to get the best out of him. You just have to encourage him to play to his strengths.

With Billy and Ched it is simple as well. They are centre forwards and should be played bang up top, leading the line. They need to be in and around that 6 yard box. The problem KB has is that the system he chooses to play does not encourage a typical goal scoring centre forward. Using the direct approach means that whoever plays up top has to play with their back to goal and a supporting striker running off them. That is exactly why Ched and Billy have struggled.....

James Beattie (also a typical centre forward) was the exception to this rule as he was simply top drawer. You could play him anywhere up front and he would bang goals in. The team played to his strengths because his presence was so strong and he dictated play.

I don't think that you can ignore experience from that analysis either, Cresswell and Beattie had lots of it Sharp and especially Ched less. I've not seen much evidence anywhere that Blackwell is any good with young players.

Cracking goal and shows what he is capable of. It remains to be seen whether Blackwell can play to his strengths next season (where have we heard that one before).

The service to Cresswell and Henderson has been poor, we've not played to their strengths at all I feel. But they've still got something like 27 between them this season.

We played some proper, on the deck football Sunday and look what happened, 3 bloody nil, I hope KB and the dinosaur have taken note, that is exactly how we should play, home and away, week in week out next year with NO excuses, the core is there in Ched, Cressy, Yeates, Morgan, and Paddy - young Lowton must surely be pushing for a place next season, though if Wardy stays, that position will clearly be his for a while at least, until he runs too fast for his body again! For me, I hope we keep Billy and sell Hendo, sign Nosworthy plus another full back, and get another central midfielder who can put his foot on the ball and dictate the game, we really would be able to mount a serious challenge next season if we did
