Ched vs derby

I was critical of Cheds lack of effort against Barnsley and Leicester, but today I thought he really worked hard.

He held the ball up well, won headers and closed down defenders, I can understand a lack of fitness but never a lack of effort. I feared the worst when he came on, but I thought he was far more effective than Lavery, who despite effort, rarely has any end product.

If he keeps it up, I think him and Sharp could yet form a decent pairing :)

Brilliant blades performance today. But ched was poor for me. He was completely knackered by the 90th min even though he only came on as sub in second half. He spent most of his time trying to wrestle or throw himself to the floor rather than find space.
I noticed that the Derby defenders found it much more difficult to clear the long ball when Ched came on. He made them uncomfortable, and put the kind of pressure on them which they were not exposed to earlier in the game.

He's nowhere near match fitness and needs u23 games, but he was much sharper today when he came on.

The ability is there, its all about fitness and confidence.

Ah ched watch here we go again! He was poor again. Did little to impact the game. But so did Lavery! Where are the leon bashers tonight because if anyone had any doubts about our best strikers today was perfect example of what leon brings that ched and Lavery don't. It might be unfair to suggest they were poor because the rest of the team were outstanding yet again especially by comparison But I don't think so ched is miles off fit. And Lavery might just not be good enough. However Lundstram might be starting to show us something!

Did a decent job holding the ball in the corner late on. Hassled a few defenders, did some chasing down. It's all about steps in the right direction. Clarke's error and Lavery's injury has brought him into the fray a little more than we might otherwise have seen.

Aside from being kept quiet by Leicester I haven't seen him have either a good game or a bad one. He looks like he needs time, both to get some confidence back and also get up to match sharpness. Hardly surprising.

Today was a positive for him. As long as we're picking up points at this pace we can and should be patient.

Strong, held the ball well and worked quite hard.

I would've preferred Brooks to come on but Evans did quite well.
