Ched vs derby

He needs some patience and time from us lot.

I agree, he did well when he came on and think he'll get there.

He had a long spell away from the game, a real stop start season last season and no pre-season. It's a big ask to hit the ground running.

Give him time and he will, and him a billy will be a force, overall end of last season if you'd have said to me after 5 games 9 points...I'd have snatched anyone's hands off

Also how good was couts today bossed midfield

Send him out for a month on loan somewhere to get him up to match speed. Ched did much better today, I think he'll come good with time.

I think if we had more strikers to pick from Ched would be pulled out of action and given a full 'pre-season' work out that he missed and badly needed. Did much better today though he was blowing hard near the end

I honestly am not seeing it yet, not because I don't wanna but I just can't. Don't wanna bring a sour note to a good day but I'll say it as I see it.

That burst of acceleration has gone, he's not as strong as nearly all the centre halves in this league either. He kept hiding behind the last centre half when we were in good positions for a cross which is what Clarke was doing at Cardiff.

Some neat footwork late on, quick feet and decent eye for a pass still but let's not pretend there's not plenty of work to do. He was better than Lavery was I'll give him that but that wasn't tough.

Billy is again mr dependable and dare I say it we are dependant on him. He needs some help and Chris will go out and fetch it next week. Ched has to improve tenfold on today if he wants to make it here again.

Also it's about doing enough to keep a defender or two worrying about you. If he's busy enough to take away a few players off Billy then that helps open up chances.

He did enough today to make their defence think. Not full speed banging goals in, but you can see his football brain is stil working and they took notice of him.

Much better from him today, he looked a little fitter but looked as if he was bothered which made the biggest difference in him this afternoon. Keep it up Ched. Well done today. Making further progress would be great for you, our team & our supporters

Brilliant blades performance today. But ched was poor for me. He was completely knackered by the 90th min even though he only came on as sub in second half. He spent most of his time trying to wrestle or throw himself to the floor rather than find space.

Wouldnt have changed any of our midfield for theirs we were brilliant UTB

He still doesn't look fully fit but he did OK today and Fleck could have played him in for a tap in.

I don't think it helped having the ball launched up to him as neither him or Billy were going to win much in the air.

Ched did well today but we know it will take time. For me, when he comes on, we change tack and sit back. Both last week and today the midfield supply dried up and we were forced to defend. That isn't Cheds fault, it will start to work for him soon I think.

Or is it Ched's fault? I don't know, but the fact we lost impetus as soon as Evans came on, could be a pure coincidence, or not, I don't know!

Ched was much sharper today. I was pleased with his contribution.

He was as good today as he was bad against Barnsley. Before that game I was naively of the mindset he was almost ready for the starting lineup.

Last week his touch looked off and he didn't look fit. Today the ball stuck, he was involved in some intelligent, quick passing and he generally looked sharper and stronger. He could have scored, too; but you can't blame Fleck for having a go when one-on-one with the keeper and it was unfortunate that Carson made a very good save.

He's still some way off being ready, but I think today showed that he's definitely still worth persevering with.
