Ched Evans: How many goals for ANOTHER chance here?

4 in 5 is terrific start, at any level.

If he was to get 10-15 before Christmas, and we are light up front, then he should be in contention for a recall. It's a no brainer, unless the agreement states that we can't bring him back for some reason.

Whittling about splitting the fan base! Crashing out with no deal! Which one is worse? Vote now.... no don't bother; try some logical thinking instead.

Well I make that 12 goals this season, going by the poll 43% of the fanbase want him back though I'm sure some will have changed their minds now.

Only a serious injury to our first choice strikers with no alternatives should a recall be considered IMHO

Have fun ;)

I don’t think he really has much of a future with us now although to be honest I would have him back for the time being as our fourth option ahead of Clarke and Washington. Neither one has really made much of an impact this season, although to be fair, tough ask when Sharp and McGoldrick have been in the form they have.

He'd probably be a better back up left back than Johnson, apart from that he's welcome to stay where he is.

Why does everyone slag Johnson ? I don’t get it the lads played about 20 minutes ?
And he looks a decent attacking option at left back ?

BBC referred to Evans as our 'former' striker in the match report.

He's playing well, 11 goals, 4 assists and has the highest goals per minute rate outside of the top 6, bar Tom Eaves of Gillingham.

That says to me that in a better team he would score even more goals, especially given his shot accuracy of 67%. How many of Mcgoldrick's missed chances would he have probably put away?

Decent attacking options between boxes but I don't think he's really in with being a defender, when he came he said he sees himself in midfield, and when he gets to the opposition's box he panics and ends up kicking it out of play most of the time.

Maybe he's bad at adjusting to the tempo of games, dunno.

He’s played more than that and he’s looked pretty poor when he has played. Like Andy Scott but 20 years later and on the left!

He’s looked like a winger playing left back cause he’s a winger playing left back

If you played Duffy at center back he probably wouldnt be as good.

I actually rate Johnson he at least looks like he can beat a man , but he’ll never get in out team as a winger or attacking midfielder

Based on the fact I’ve never seen him play as a winger and probably never will I think he’s rubbish. We don’t need a winger playing left wing back, we need a left wing back and he’s not been very good at it so far.

Good for you if you rate him, you can keep a keen eye on his career after he leaves us.

While I assume you're only doing it for dramatic effect, that's not exactly a great comparison. Wingers are often converted to wing backs. There are a lot of transferable skills. And if you look at the heat maps of Stevens and Baldock, they spend most of their time occupying positions held by wingers anyway. I'm still holding out hope on Johnson but I don't buy the "he's being played out of position" line. Not least because he played left back for Oxford quite a bit.

He can call prefer playing further forward if he wants, but he should still be able to do a decent job in this position. I bet if you asked Danny Rose or Ashley Young where they'd like to be playing, they wouldn't say left back.

He’s an attacking player he is a winger been played at left back , he knows how to attack not defend.
It’s like playing Duffy at CDM.

I actually rate Johnson looks a decent attacking player but he should be played no10 or upfront instead

If things stay as they are he could be available for us in the Play Offs I suppose.

I imagine his loan probably expires after the 46 game season, but our season will be that little bit longer if we finish 3rd - 6th and by that time he will have returned to us and available for selection if CW so wishes.

To score the winner at Wembley to right a wrong from 2012 maybe?

Is he any worse than Washington?? Not in my opinion
Ched's got the eye for goal and Washington's got the pace. If only they could be morphed into a single striker

Maybe we could have Leon and Ched up front in the play-off final? Would you put Sharp and McGoldrick on the bench or bomb them out completely?!
