I propose we put the other 23 teams and all the referees in a big hole and burn the lot.

This division is rapidly destroying my love of football by depriving of watching it. If the objective was cynical fouling, spoiling, time wasting and constant subtle cheating then MK Dons would win the Champions League. I thought the division would be less painful to watch since Tranmere went down, but everyone has upped their 'game' ten fold this season.

If any MK fans are reading: no franchise jibes from me. I'll just say if my team behaved like that I would be utterly ashamed and embarrassed beyond belief and would be requesting the immediate removal of the manger.

One word: disgrace.

Everyone has upped their game 10 fold? Mmmmmmm

Come off it utd do it all the time and your whole bench jump up waving their arms about every time a player falls over.

How many players got wiped out tonight without any action from the ref what so ever? Not just little nibbles either but full blown intent in my opinion!

For me it was far beyond "ruffling feathers" and stopping us playing. The opponents were vile!

p.s And sportsmanship.....What is that MK Dons? Kicking the ball away again getting away with it.

I thought you hadn't been? Did you have a drone flying over t'lane and that's how you saw our bench react?

If I were you Paul, I'd either lie low, or just defend the fact that you got what you came for, and who cares.

Any suggestion that that wasn't one of the most cynical, dirty perfomances seen in years will be seen for what it is.

UTB

Another fan who will be forgotten before the Twat thread reaches 225 pages until the next time we play the plastic cunts and he decides to crawl from under his bridge.

I agree with alcoblade, by far the dirtiest team to come to BDTBL for years, and the space academy officials let them get away with it.

Having said that, I expected MKD to be up for it (after we dumped them out of the cup), and I think Higdon would have been useful against the physicality of the visitors. I think it was men against thugs out there tonight.

Yes, this is complaining about a string of obvious fouls going unpunished.

Question for Blades with regular away attendance: do we act like that on the road (in general, I don't think anything is really comparable to tonight)?

If we 'played' like everyone else in this league (assuming we'd get away with it to the extent that everyone else does) we'd be up at the top looking smug..

No we wouldn't - we'd still not be scoring any goals and we'd have loads of players suspended

Nope.

You cant blame MK Dons as much as I cant stand them. They pushed the rules to the limit and beyond to get a result ,hey would have been happy with a point. The anger should be at the officials who let it happen from very early in the game ,all 3 were completely utterly inept ,everyone will cheat if they aren't stopped ,they weren't stopped.

You are fucking joking arent you. You didnt go to the game you were the most cynical time wasting side Ive seen for a long time
The worst thing that happened was the Ref let you get away with it. Take the time one of your players got winded by a ball at him no head injury we kicked the ball out on the half way line your player doesnt pass it back he boots it out for a goal kick deliberately not to the keeper who can pick it up. Same happens to one of our players you play on and attack.
Totally and utter disgraceful someone said coming out of the ground it was like watching that anti football of the 70s L***ds
and I have to agree

Football in general has become embarrasing at times with the cheating. We're just as bad but not as cynical in committing fouls and kicking the ball away etc but in diving, feigning injury and chasing the referee down for decisions instead of chasing the ball when the whistle isn't blown. Get on with the fucking game. We're lucky to get to watch 50 minutes of football for our ever increasing ticket price. Let this not detract from the need for united to change our nevative mindset and tactics if we're to get out of this league before teams like oldham and mk dons.

They came, they won and they got away with it.

We can't really whinge as that's what 'professional' can mean to some teams, players and fans, it means winning. It means getting three points away from home and getting nearer to leaving this Divison. And if the home fans don't like it then so what?

Realistically, if we had undertaken 'professional' tactics, would we be critical of our own team and attitude as we left an away ground? I genuinely doubt it.

Of course, I don't like it. Of course it ruins the game but winning is what the game is now about, Playing beautiful, ethical football and not worrying about the result is not what any team is about, including us.

If it got us three points and we had the physical and cynical players to get away with it, would we not do the same in their situation?

So, yes ask why our team allows itself to be bullied and why we don't have imposing players who can mix it back and yes, ask why the officials didn't 'protect' our players. However, I'm not sure it's right to have a go at MK Dona when they're seeking to win and using the tactics to do so as un pretty and unpleasant as they mey be.

Reinforces the need to have a bit of steel in the midfield, and imposing presence and a leader. But then those kind of players tend to strong characters and fall out with Nigel and get moved out.

So, my question is who are our leaders on the pitch who can professionally address stress tactics either by actions or words?

Kyle McFadzean's play-acting (screamed and threw himself to the ground after no contact) wasn't professionalism or gamesmanship, it was just cheating.

Afobe getting right in Harris' face on the final whistle wasn't pushing things to the limit, it was just being a c***.

Unfortunately the tactics needed to succeed in this division are sign a bunch of cloggers and cheat, which is the exact opposite of what we have done up to this point. We need a whole new squad of inferior 'footballers' to win promotion.

If 'professional' is now a synonym for 'cheating' then I think I've had enough.

I understand that sometimes you need to push the limits and kill any flow in the game to allow time to run down when protecting a lead, and I'm sure we do it on occasion, but I said last night if I ever saw my team behave like MK last night I would be calling for the manager's head. Three points for the Blades is not so important that I would accept the death of the 'beautiful game'.

This is the first season I have seen us on a regular basis and I have to say the standard of refereeing at this level is appalling. If last night had been the PL they would have had 2 sent off before half time. Once the twat who was pretending to be a ref had let the first challenge on Harris go without even giving a free kick it gave them the green light to kick us all night. An early yellow then would have put him in control, by the time he got his red card out it was immaterial.

Also the next time we are looking for a new manager lets remember last night before we sing Robinson's praises and how he plays attractive football. Everyone behind the ball and hoof it up to the fast lad up front seemed to be the sum total of his tactics. They had one chance which wasn't even their free kick and due to our inability to defend set pieces score with a lucky rebound .

A lucky rebound that came to two of their players that were inside the box when our lads just stood and stared at them - only McEveley made any attempt to cover. It's funny how getting men in and around the box, looking to pick up anything that may happen following a set piece, leads to "luck" isn't it?
I wish we were that lucky

Exactly as I said in my post, our inability to defend set pieces. The rebound/ricochet could have equally flown over the bar however
