Assomballonga would be good, but not at the £15m quoted.
Just goes to show what we're up against now. Him and Che, both gambles and wouldn't guarantee us goals, would cost us close to £30M, 2 or 3 times what the current squad cost

I’d have him back if wilder’s keen always through he was a talent. That said he couldn’t wait to get out a few years ago.

Wonder if he regrets the move... . He traded 2 promotions in three years for basically mid table mediocrity and no clear path forward at brum.

Hindsight's a wonderful thing but how many kids that age wouldn't jump at a move upwards and probably set themselves up for life ? Remember, he had no affiliation with the club who were, at the time finishing in our worse position for donkeys with no sign of a turnaround.

I would imagine him being a Palarse type player as well, in fact any of the bottom half could probably be interested. £10-15M is much less of a gamble for them than us not to mention they'd top us for wages as well.
I’ve always thought Crystal Palace were a bunch of arses too.

He's had nothing to prove since the semi-final v Spurs ;)
Games like these proved he had it in his locker.Digging in when things got tough and remaining consistent seemed to be the issue.

He has proved he has matured a lot now and is ready to take on the challenge of the Premier League and fulfil the early promise he showed.

Given Forestfairy and Assombolonga are both having prices 'quoted' in the same ballpark as Che I'd sign him all day long in front of the other two. In today's market 15m is the going rate for a top championship player.

The thing about Che is if it does work out he could easily.be worth double 15m in a years time....I dont see that being true of the others.

You say this like us fans knew we'd get 2 promotions in 3 years, though.

We didn't.

i think get in there bidding, dive the price up and more sell on monies for us.

Get JOC to have a word with them whilst they’re on the Wattbikes. The pair of them have been out in Dubai getting some training in alongside Lunny (Baldock was there week before)

He’d be the first name on my shopping list. Obviously we can’t guarantee he will perform at the top level, but for me he has all the right kind of attributes.

He would have left after the first promotion

Sorry if already mentioned - I did try a quick search - but BBC reporting that Southampton have had an £8M bid rejected.

I’m not surprised, he’s worth £12-15 million in today's market, maybe more.

I’d move heaven and earth to sign him over anyone in the Championship. He’s got a bit of everything.

Let’s not forget we can pay more than the others because we have a sell on fee to fall back on... to ourselves :)

For what it's worth, he's advertising next seasons kit.
