Reading a few reports/comments on the recent U21s victory v Brimingham it seems he was MOTM.

I've got to say I've been very disappointed that we haven't seen more of him in the first team, the few times we have I have been impressed - and even when quiet, he's certainly been no worse than those around him.

For me hes the type of player we're crying out for - pace, skill, direct, bit of flair and doesn't seem at all scared to have a go.

Surely with Flynn looking doubtful for the weekend, Murphy not quite 100%, he's got to be involved. Personally I'd start him given the tripe served up the other night.

Adams/Davies/Murphy as a front 3, please Nigel, lets be on the front foot.

He may scored a few and been MOTM for the U21s, played well against Premiership Southampton and promotion chasing Swindon and bagged a brace against Spurs, but he's no Paul Coutts, who has excelled on the right in honourable defeats to Fleetwood and Yeovil. He played there with John Brayford at Derby you know.

Are people so desperate for him to start because of his fancy name? if he were called bryan adams would there be such a clamour? probably not ;)

Please Forgive Me, but I think you're wrong. He's class. We'd be Flying if he were a regular. In Heaven. But he'll probably be sold in the Summer. Of 69 fans asked, 65 would say it Cuts Like A Knife to see him out of the side.

Is it only me who thinks Adams is a bit shy of being ready for starting?

I can see potential there but he looks naive both with and without the ball and seems to not have the fitness for a full game yet. I think next season is where we'll see what he's really made of, not this.
didn't look shy against spurs.. and anyway he has a fancy name

Exactly this...

No mate I think its the fact he scored 2 against Spurs ;)

When we played MKD at MKD earlier this season, Che was brought on with about 10 minutes to go and he changed the game, got the ball, ran straight towards goal, fired shots, one just going over. If he had been on the pitch from kick off I think we would have won

If Che is not ready or mature enough in this division how is he going to cope in the championship?

First to admit I know nowt about football I'm one of those who are happy when we win no matter how, and in deep gloom when we lose ..
But the number of times lately when we've been under the cosh how I've wished he would bring Adams on to collect the out ball and run like the clappers for their goal to a least put the fear of god up their back line....

As I said in another thread, we'll hopefully see him in the last couple of games when we're mathematically certain of the play offs. If he impresses, I hope he's used in the semis, even if it's off the bench

I bet moyes and everton are glad they mothballed rooney and never attracted man utd to buy him when he was 17...

Were negative, poor, and unambitious under clough, so why are you surprised we don't play talented lads who want to have a go?

I'm not going to claim he's the messiah but he had a blinder v Spurs then was given a starting role in a team we selected v Swindon that I thought would lose and did well. Then I just see him doing token warming up knowing he won't get on. I think Clough thinks he's keeping him grounded but there is a classic case of killing momentum and undermining his confidence, and when we need him he'll look as rusty a McNulty did at Oldham.

Even if it's half an hour, play them! JCR was a bit of an enigma to say the least but he worried people and is near the top of our goal charts. Him, Che and McNulty should all be getting regular time for me.
