He wants to go, we can't stand in his way when the big clubs like Gillingham come knocking, the groundsman from the u23s lives there he wants to get in his radar.... (excuses for Adams transfer, August 2016) :p

A real (still raw) talent. Makes the Murphy sale more palatable. Che is stronger, quicker and more direct. Lets get him tied down to a four year deal with a £55m buy out clause. Only Man City and the pigs could afford him.

He is stronger, he certainly isn't quicker. I've said before with Adams, it isn't his ability that makes him exciting, it's his mindset. Every time he gets the ball you see him thinking "right, I'm going to drive towards the box" rather than shitting himself and looking for a sideways pass like a lot used to last season. Defenders, especially poor ones, hate people running at them with the ball. You don't have to be that good to get past them.

Nevertheless, a good performance today, keep it up Mr. Adams.

And "mindset" is the best asset a player can have. Will see him through as he ages and his attributes change. We're lucky to have him.

Ole Che.

He relies on strength rather than speed ,and its working ,we have to be patient though ,he is still raw and will have to be in and out I reckon. Great prospect.

Suggestions like this would pre-suppose that the person(s) in charge of contracts and negotiations at the lane have a shred of common sense and some degree of competence.

Sadly; there is not one tiny bit of evidence to support this supposition, indeed there is a growing mountain of evidence to suggest that the tea-lady conducts contract negotiations at the Lane ...... o_O

Oh, I agree. Whilst he isn't the most technically gifted player we have, it is nice to have somebody whose first thought on receiving the ball isn't "right, who can I pass responsibility on to as soon as possible." Currently he beats players using strength and determination. The technical side of his game will only get better. He's a great prospect.

Che adams was outstanding today but we all knew he probably would be this season if he isnt in the pfa team of the season come may id be amazed because he got the pace & as someone said above been in the gym got more muscle. & the touch finish for the 2nd goal was fantastic we really need to keep him as Murphy was understandable but I would be angry if he went next 2 weeks

Here something i heard on twitter from one football reporter that 1 of Chesterfield scouts advised Paul Cook to bring Che Adams to Chesterfield when he was available for free but Paul Cook couldn't be convinced

How much do you think we'll get for him before the end of August?

McCabe must be struggling to avoid frigging himself off at the moment, at the thought of another quick cheque and an 'undisclosed fee' in his Brussels bank account.

If United sell him as well as Murphy, that's me done. Said to my mate at match today, imagine how good today's side would've been with Adams on one wing and Murphy on the other - wow! As it is, instead we need to go into the transfer market for a winger (well done, United) - Scougall and Reed aren't the answer there - we are going to become too one dimensional, always looking to play through Adams.

Che did absolutely superb today.

Promotion is the key to keeping hold of these sort of players! Were losing players to average championship clubs just because there in a league above. If we get there ourselves it will go some way to sorting this problem out. This is the season

We could tie him down with a long contract but the bugger is that strong that he would just break free again

good post but you got the date wrong mate. January 2016. :)

Great to see him loving the adulation as he came off yesterday.

Strike now & get that contract extension (& pay rise) sorted. As things stand, we stand to lose him for peanuts.
Poor really that the situaton hasn't been addressed before now, very poor.
