Typical derby match that, we're in the ascendancy and they're fucking shit. First 15 minutes it was foul after foul to break the play up. On 20 minutes Johnson went down for 3 minutes to get his wrist strapped up, nowt wrong with the wanker and he could have got treatment on the sideline but no, a stoppage in play, another attempt to stifle us. Kind of worked first half, really patchy with neither team getting a hold on the game.

Second half, Blaster off and the more combative Peck on, no more bullying in the middle of the park and we bossed it. The goal was well worked, we could have had more and in an ugly game, job done.

We showed a lot of character there and stuck at it, were the only team playing football and did the dirty stuff to see it out. Reminded me of the Grunters coming to the Lane in '91 flying high, full of fancy dan players but they couldn't match us for fight. Today was the reverse of that, we have the players but we have the bottle to go with it. Good side us, forget the defeats as they were extenuating circumstances, keep this up and we won't be losing many more.

I agree, a team that came to frustrate us, frustrated us. It’s a shite way of playing football but unfortunately, when you’re at the top and you come down from the prem the lesser teams will come to BDTBL and play like that. Today didn’t work for them.

That was the first time this season I’ve watched them for 90mins and I thought they were dog shit. That’s not derby day bias, that’s the truth. Did Cooper have anything to do? Did he fuck. To think some of them on Porktalk “had a feeling they’d do something today” is laughable.

The only credit I can give them was away from the break up of play, going down and frustrating us that way, without the ball they put everyone behind the ball and lined up well. Suppose that was the German in them.

They were very poor, hard to tell just how bad as surely they don't set up like that every week? In a fluid game of football we'd beat them easily, we're just better in all departments. Oh well, they had their big day out, went home really happy with a defeat, strange bunch.

I’ve also heard a couple of times “it wasn’t what I feared so I’m ok with it” - there’s a whole fucking thread on Porktalk about how they’re not gutted - I didn’t think celebrating their 0-0’s could get any worse, turns out being happy with a 1-0 loss at your rivals is ok with them too!

yes ive had a look on there and seems a 0 - 0 win is now a 0 - 1 win believe me their relieved they only lost by 1 goal but lots critical of their own players apart from gassama when he came on their very very low on quality for this level

Glad others believe the same on the ball we have that premier style cultured they reminded me of a championship league one side plucky little quality except their 42 he looked dangerous .
