Not sure if it’s just an inaccuracy in the reporting, but the EFL has an identical replica of the trophy that will usually go to one of the grounds, with the actual trophy going to the other.

That's what I thought too. The real one would have to be at Villa if that's the case

Surely there's a man in a van with the cup on the back seat sat in a motorway car park exactly halfway between the stadiums with t'radio on waiting for score updates? With a fag in his mouth of course. And the doors locked.

It will probably be on a motorbike halfway between the two and move closer to the more likely ground as the final whistle approaches. Worst case, they could cover 22 miles in the time that it would take to clear the pitch, let the players do a lap of honour and get them to the directors box to receive the trophy.

Or transport it via helicopter with Colin Murray bungee jumping out of it with the trophy.
