Hopefully this is in the wrong section as we storm to automatic promotion, but does anyone know what time kick off the playoff final will be? It's on Sunday, 29th May, and I'll be in Scotland for a week's family holiday. Looking at booking flights to from Inverness to Heathrow as they'll be cheap now, but would be expensive if I tried to book them following the playoff second leg, but need the kick off time to safely book flights.

I did the same in 2019 and thankfully ended up happily writing off the cost of the flights.

'Duly noted'. The footballing gods.

Well imagine if we get to the final and inevitably lose again. That would be something of a record, no?

Not seen it announced but last season it was 3pm.

I'm in Valencia with work that weekend. Been looking at how I can get back to dat der London in time. I've assumed it's a 3pm kick-off as it was last season.... Hopefully it'll be a 5pm kick-off now that all fans are back........

Championship playoff final is usually 3pm kick off isnt it?

Will VAR be used in the final....if so I want to go on record for being the first to say.....FUCKING WANK VAR, COST US £150M FUCKING SHIT, HOW COULD THEY SEE THAT WAS NOT A 96TH MINUTE PENALTY

No intention of going to the Play off semi's or final.

This will be a huge issue once again. The winner or loser will both suffer as they will have another couple of weeks before they get an end of season. Just like Liverpool and Spurs after the really late Champions League final a couple of years ago they won't get the full recovery from a long season which has been complicated already with Bad weather postponements and the Covid farce backlog.

To have the Championship Play Off final on the 29th and not the 21st (like the league one) is a mistake. There is a high chance that players from teh Championship will be also playing in Qatar so clubs won't get the full break that League one and two teams will mostly get.

And with the Championship then starting again at teh end of July, earlier than normal, it will be a hard slog for the teams and i'd guess that many teams will end up with injuries if players arent able to fully rest before rushing a preseason through.

Best thing that we can do is avoid the play offs at all costs - but then again i always say that

If not there's an Irish bar on Gran Via (forget the name) that will show it. Or come to Benidorm!

I fly home on the Sunday anyway. So going to fly back to Stansted (lands at 12.30). Should give me enough time to drive to Watford (or somewhere similar) and get the train into Wembley.

It'll not go ahead anyway because of nuclear armageddon, do you not realise this?! ☢️

It’s written in the stars, whenever we have a top class team some world disaster occurs.

1939 A young Jimmy Hagan gained promotion to the top flight. In early matches believe we were 2nd in the div 1 challenging for the title. Then the league was cancelled due to world war 2.

1920 Taking the PL by storm challenging for a European spot. What could go wrong? There was a world wide pandemic covid outbreak meaning the league was cancelled for 2 months. We were never the same team after the restart.

So I reckon we’ll gain promotion back to the PL, start the new season really well beating Man City and Liverpool.

When things are going so well with the future looking so bright. It’s at that point a world wide disaster happens.

Bit early for players to be going to Qatar, isn't the World Cup in the Autumn this year? Can't disagree with the rest of this post though.

Sorry it perhaps wasn’t clear, the break for the championship is in Nov to mid December whilst the World Cup is on. So some players will get a break then but not the ones competing

Sorry, think you are on the wrong Sheffield forum.

The football authorities who make the decision as to Kick Off time will do what they normally do.

That is, in conjunction with Sky TV, conduct thorough research to discover the most unsuitable time for the greatest number of attending fans, and then announce that.

You might be pushing it. 30 mins for passport control, then you need to get to your car and hope the motorway is clear. Should be do-able provided flight isn't delayed and traffic is okay

The consultation is much wider than that, so please don't make them out to be amateurish.

They also contact the Highways Agency and Network Rail to find out those days with the greatest number of motorway and rail line closures and that goes in the mix too.

Acknowledged.

However, for instance, there is a greater choice of trains to travel back up north if the KO is at 3 o`clock rather than 5 o`clock. Therefore more seats for more fans.

Nuclear armageddon would only take place on the day of the final with us 4.0 up, war declared on 89 minutes, match abandoned, Premier league suspended, nobody promoted or relegated.

There is chatter about it being moved to following bank holiday weekend. Champions League final is that weekend and may be moved from Russia to Wembley.

There’s a remote chance that the EUFA Champions League Final might get moved from St Petersburg and end up at Wembley that weekend. Maybe we’ll win a play off final played at Spurs new stadium!

You can get a FastTrack ticket for passport control at Stansted. It's getting my luggage that'll hold me up....

I really can’t understand what UEFA is waiting for. There’s no way that the final should now be held in Russia.
