It's a waste of time and none of these sanctions will ever be used against any club. The problem is that the EFL (and the PL) aren't a ruling body as such, they talk about "members" and they wouldn't want to upset one of their key members now would they?!

The precedent was set when that Fawaz guy at Forest sponsored their shirts for £50m a year and they didn't act. Since then these arrangements have continued and will carry on regardless of the rules. As many have said, it will be a 2nd tier team that gets an example made of them.

As much as people moan about the SPL letting Rangers get away with it, at least they relegated the bastards a few divisions (technically they should have been relegated to the Glasgow parks leagues but that's history now), Juventus were also made an example of in Italy but are now back to where they were before, hopefully with a few lessons learned along the way. These situations will never happen in the EFL though as the wankers in charge can't do their mates and paymasters out of money.

Oh god- dont go there! To be fair, they’ve made a good start and they do still have some decent players. BUT; we’re still early in the season. Lets see how their ageing, injury prone squad is holding together come November/December. They wont be close to going down, but cant see them pushing for top 6, unless they go absolutely shit or bust mental in January- which might be their only viable option and knowing them spozzy bastards will probably prove you right!

They seem to be over their "injuries" amazing how they seem to disappear when they are winning.
Like it or not they do have some good players with FF, and Hopper to come back soon and the emergence of some good youngsters, they also seem confident.
If they are in or around the top 6 i can see Chancer splashing the cash and sticking two fingers at FFP.
And that's where the nagging feeling comes in that it will pay of for the spozzy pigs.

After initially flicking the V's at the Football League when they were promoted, they were fined about £50m in their absence.

Their plan of a 1,000 years Premier doomination came crashing down a couple of years later when they were relagated with the League then reminding them of the fine and threat of points deductions etc etc.

After years of 'tough talking' I think they've got the fine down to about £14m but I'm not even sure they've paid that yet.

As you so succinctly put it; 'absolute bollocks'.
