Obviously I want us to win the league and yes it's a nice thing to say we've won all four. But is it really an achievement? For a start it means you've actually been in the fourth division. Wouldn't it be much better to never complete this set because you've always been in the best leagues?
Reminds me of a trivia question.
What competition does a football team, after winning it, hope never to have to play for it again.

Deary me! We're in October, we're 4th. Yes, we've had two excellent results (and performances to boot) but a mere week and a half ago we scored an injury time equaliser at Fleetwood! There are 7 hard months of the season left with all the pitfalls winter can throw up. Injuries to key players, loss of form, the JTW, boggy, claggy winter pitches and the footballing Gods!

Let's just think about Bradford and once that's over, the next one and so on and see where that takes us. Anyone who has been watching the Blades for any length of time should know that 1. You never take anything for granted and 2. if anything can go wrong, it will:rolleyes:

The fucking EFL Trophy, or whatever it's called these days?

I'm guessing that isn't actually the answer.

All very correct, one game at a time but I think folk are getting excited because the difference between what we are now seeing and what we have seen for the last 3-4 years is like night and day. The only time since Wilson's first season that we have looked like going up was a few months under Clough, and that spell was more about keeping things tight and hitting teams with the very limited range of tools we had, albeit to very good effect.
Now we seem to be playing with confidence, directness and a bit of flair but more importantly we are starting to look ruthless. Bradford will be a huge physical test without doubt and could see us losing but I don't think we will roll over for a belly rub like we have in recent years against tough teams, plus we always seem to do well at their place.

It's gone from games being a chore, to genuinely looking forward to the next game again & games not coming fast enough.

Agree Stretch. I remember well the football we played under Wilson. We scored goals for fun and looked certs for promotion but a freakish run of form by our nearest and dearest and a North Wales jury scuppered us at the final hurdle. Like I say, long way to go and never underestimate the footballing Gods!

Not the the one I was after, but not bad. The answer is the "championship". Once won, you would hope to stay in the premiership, hence, hoping never having to play for it again.
I don't know, the blades doing well, nothing to moan about, reduced to putting f****ng trivia questions on here.

True, but in recent seasons, we wouldn't have got the equaliser at Fleetwood and would have lost against Shrewsbury.

Absolutely, learnt that lesson a long time ago with United mate.

Funny you should mention the "Ched" factor, seeing as we play Chessy last match of the season. Just hope it doesn't come to that but knowing United...

What a great week it's been! I haven't seen United win anything since I was 12, I'm now 46 and even then I missed the party.

Please Blades, I know it's great to go up and that means everything of course but please can we win the bloody thing?

Lets go up as Champions please.

And we did. With a nice round 100 points :)

we have become champions , yes its league one

a league weve occupied for 10 seasons in our history
exactly the same number of seasons the pigs have been in it

but weve won it , by a mile

we should not decry it
its something man city couldnt win when they were here or leeds utd

and to join the 100 points club , again a great achievement in any league

Im 63 now and its our second title
exactly 2 more than wednesdays won since I started watching in 1961
theres no colour television pictures in existence of wednesday winning a title, any league title

There's no colour television pictures of us winning a title either. Channel 5 replaced them all with Bolton interviews.
