You're spot-on. Britton plays like McCall but with legs 10 years younger. To me he looks a Premiership footballer in that slot. Moving him upfield will limit his impact on the team.

The notion of Britton playing behind Williamson is a really attractive one. It would give us the best midfield pairing we've had since McCall / Brown.

perhaps i should.. hoofy obviously didn't think that attacking midfielders were a necessary part of the game as he simply bypassed them.. these players exist at this level..stock.. wellens.. adam.. hoolihan.. we don't have to go for messi
