My favourite moment of the Burton match involved Lee Evans' screamer which clipped the bar and flew towards the Kop without losing pace. Everyone was on their feet, and I feared the ball would smack someone in the face. At that moment, a pair of arms were raised, and the speeding ball was caught with total control, and quickly returned to the pitch; everyone sat down together, and I had no idea who it was that had taken the catch. Over the years I have paid good money to watch some keepers who never once caught the ball as cleanly. And even worse, as old man, middle-aged man, young man, and boy, I have stood or sat behind the goal on the Kop, hoping that one day I would be able to display my goalkeeping skills to a wider audience, and not once have I even touched the ball. How lucky was some bloke last night, no more than 20 yards away from me?
Was in it anyone on here who caught that ball? If more than 1 person claims the catch, I will never believe anything I read on here again...

I'm always amazed at the number of outstretched arms to catch a ball that goes at full speed into the crowd when compared with the pathetic attempts at goal keeping I see every week at 5 a side......grown men scared to touch a football with their hands.
