Cash in on Billy?

Do you have no soul or moral compass? Whatever even Billy thinks, he IS United.
To even consider this is bollocks, and stinks of the money shit which follows football these days.
Supporting your local club is about more than "cashing in", and if you disagree fuck off and be a Man U/City/ Scouse/ Chelsea "follower"!!!

Billy's probably got a couple of years of his career left, so how about selling him to Forest, Derby, Villa or whatever big-money club stays down, on a contract that will set him up for life. And we could probably trouser 7m in the process. At least.

Controversial?

In the nicest way possible...

GET RODDED.

Bladey sentimentality all the way for me here. Get him as captain in the PL and he’s the happiest man alive. If he’s out of favour at Christmas and wants to play he can go on loan then.

controversial? fucking unbelievable would be more apt .. behave yersen ;)

Expecting someone with 2 years of their career left to command £7m is certainly controversial, because his actual value isn’t going to be anywhere close to that. He’s far more valuable in the squad than him being able to attract big money.

You could compare him to Daryl Murphy who went Newcastle for £3m at 33, so at the most we'd get £3.5m and it's not worth selling him for that money.

We only have Sharp, McGoldrick and Clarke currently contracted for next season, so you'd expect at least 2 new strikers to sign with Clarke leaving. I just can't see Wilder bringing in 3 new strikers this summer so there is no way Sharp or McGoldrick will leave.

Well it seems we won't be seeing dkc on the forum for a while. :)

Billy is playing the best football of his career. 24 goals means he's in the squad for next year. He'll be a handful for some sides, even 1 level up. If he's playing in a team that creates chances, he'll score goals

Well done, for creating the most stupid, fuckin pathetic thread ever.

He deserves to lead the Blades out first game and I think will continue to be a valuable member of the squad, both in the locker room and when playing.

Also, I sincerely hope the OP was drunk when he wrote this. If not, just plain damn laughable of a post.

Sell Billy? WTF?!

Regardless of whether he'll be good enough in the Premier League - and remember, many said he wouldn't be up to it back in the Championship two years ago - he's going absolutely nowhere. He's our captain, our leader, he inspires the other players and clearly does so much more than play and score goals. All I need to see from him is one goal for the Blades in the Premier League - hope he gets fifty obviously - to reward him for everything he has done for this club.

Personally, I would be surprised if he doesn't manage United in the future. Maybe Wilder should be getting Billy involved with coaching on the side?
