Really pleased to read Wilders comments.
IMO Carruthers will be a big player for us next season, he has the strength, pace and importantly the skill to play an important part of the midfield set up. Think he may at some stage replace Duffy as our game changer.
Don't think we should under estimate the fact he was not part of our pre season and then got injured which hindered his progress for over a month. The extremely high levels of fitness our lads had last year were hard earned in the pre season slog, once Samir has a full Wilder Knill pre season under his belt he will be pushing to be a regular starter.

Without sounding harsh if we keep collecting midfielders I will be surprised if Duffy is here at the start of the season................

I don't think your comment is harsh - sure some will though. Duffy played a decreasingly important role as the season ran into the closing weeks, again like Samir he was hampered by an injury he picked up at Oldham and it maybe telling that two clubs in Birmingham and Burton have let Duffy go when they were building a Championship level side.

When someone like Tony Currie talks in glowing terms about Duffy, I think we shouldn't write him off too quickly. All this bollocks about him not been good enough is because he was used as a winger by his ex clubs? Whereas CW gives him free license?
