On the journey from Nazareth to Bethlem the donkey was highly thought of but he wasn't revered for the delivery of the baby Jesus.

Going against the grain here but I actually enjoyed listening to him (other than the accent). Seems honest enough and doesn’t come across as arrogant or cocky.

Someone asked him about going to Leeds and he says it was behind his back. He’d Just signed a 5-year deal at the Wendy bastards, then Francis phoned him and said “we’ve agreed to sell you. Leeds or Villa take your pick”. Said to him “I want paying up then” (nice 5 year redundancy!!). He chose Leeds because he’d worked with Ron Atkinson before and said he liked how Howard Wilkinson was straight with him.

He then said he got a call from Francis a few years later when he was at Brum asking him to go there. No need to tell you what he said to that one...

Seemed a nice guy in all fairness.

I wish we had a young Palmer in our team. Top player and a team man.
There are definite side effects to taking industrial quantities of illegal narcotics.
This information seems relevant right now, for some strange reason.

Just realised that some of you on here are younger than some of my shirts so here's a picture of Pob. Google him if you're that bothered, I can't be arsed to explain :D

I’ve met Carlton a few times up at the Rising Sun. He may have played for the Pork but he seems to be a really pleasant unassuming bloke.
