Careful with your parking

That crossing on Queens Road is/was a nightmare anyway because the lights don't stay red long enough for someone to get across and impatient drivers apparently don't know what a flashing amber light means. I keep meaning to report it to Streets Ahead.
Good luck with that. Then again, the more we tell them about the issues the more money it will cost them, which they don't like.

While you're at it you could stick the pram wheels through Louise Hague's front door and ask one of her underlings to sort it. Oh and don't let em be fobbing you off with that "Sorry you have to make an appointment" malarky. :)

Yes it is being managed. Unless they’ve very recently switched the cameras off. My mum’s had multiple fines for parking there recently when she’s gone into town thinking it was ok cos the shop’s shut down. She didn’t bother reading the signs.

Don't you just hate them? Makes you wonder if they're actually legit. Someone at work said it wasn't managed, I hadn't tried it. I tend to park further out as I don't mind the walk and to avoid traffic. For the Forest game I parked up at Heeley Green and walked down, it's not really that far as long as you don't mind the hill on the way back. These days as I'm up Norton, I also park near the Crown at Heeley.

If you are coming up the M1, is it worth coming off at the A57, parking up and taking the tram? Anyone do it? I know that there is free parking at Crystal Peaks and Halfway, but it's a half an hour ride in from there. Any free parking near the tram closer to the city?
Halfway Park and Ride isn't free and Crystal Peaks do have the private racketeers who will ticket anyone who parks for over 3 hours as cars a photographed on entrance.

The road opposite Halfords the council have stuck up a crafty one hour max , very small sign , for 8-6.30 mon-sat , This is on a side road with no houses , and probably just a cash cow . They may be a few more in other areas so dont pay for the Choccy hobnobs at their meetimgs .🧔🧔🧔
Yer typical Sheffield council they don’t have a clue! know wonder the city has died! I don’t visit Sheffield anymore, except to see the Blades. The traffic wardens around the Sheaf Gardens area hide until 3pm then come out of the woodwork and dash around dishing out tickets! makes my blood boil to think that they can do this to there own and to visitors to Sheffield. Makes me angry to see what they have done to our city over the years

Yeah 1 hour limit. I've used it a few times recently.

Get your Mum on the Pepipoo forum. Follow the advice and you'll get many of those private car park fines overturned.

Got my wife off a couple in recent years.

I have heard that for Nunnery Park and Ride you need to drive into town and back out again when you come in on the Parkway, not sure how true that is. Also, the need to change tram makes it less easy than coming in from the south. Coming from the North, it's possibly easier to park at Meadowhall and come in on the train as opposed to the tram.

Park Grange Croft is possibly a better option than Sheffield College. Distance is about the same but you can have a pint in the Farm Social Club.
Carry on M1 to meadowhall get on tram there by time you get back after game traffic gone

Some bastard egged my car which was parked on the hill near Heeley City Farm opposite the carwash. I had heard that they may be putting restrictions on there too. That's me fooked.

At least you didn’t have to go far to get it washed off.

I don't do it but if time is not a problem then that's what I'd do. I park and use the tram. (Not there though!)

Don't forget the lovely roadworks still to come on Hill St/Woodhead Rd/Bramall Lane, they're blocking that junction off completely. Fun and games for everyone..

And you can only park in waitrose car park for 2 hours now for anyone that used to park there

Be careful at peaks they have cameras on main car park checking entry and exit times. I think limit is a couple of hours ?

You could park up at Manor top/Arbourthorne just don't expect your car to be there when you go back.

I use the park n ride at Halfway £4.50 including tram fare, you can only park so long in Crystal Peaks which is usually rammed anyway by 9.30am. If coming from the north Meadowhall is the best option or Nunnery park n ride. Be careful using car parks in the city centre some prices are extortionate some can be around £9 if you go over 2 hours and they wonder why the city centre is on it's arse, then again in a year or so cars will be charged to drive inside of the ring road mission complete a city centre waste land.

Waitrose have also been reinforcing their 2 hour max parking restriction on signs aa you enter. They’ve got folks going around photographing the number plates. Seems like the old Waitrose carrier bag in the window may not work this season!

Seen this on facebook. It's the old Mike Brewer site next to JE James. £5 a car but it's like a 2 minute walk to the ground.

Although i think i'll stick to the tried and tested park at the pub, walk to the ground, collect the car the following morning!

At least thats sensible thinking by someone, a fiver ain't gonna bust the bank as well, but you watch some d1ckwad from the council will see this and make it impossible for you to get to it.....

Apparently the old Staples/Office World car park is not being 'managed' at the moment, just off the roundabout on St Marys Gate/Arundel Gate - might be worth checking out.
Be careful here. They have a "Max 1 hour" sign up, but a mate of mine recently got a ticket for staying there for an hour and 20 mins.

It's Sunday. All bets off.
That said I have no probs parking free.
Not saying where but it's not far off Denby St.
