A big part of the reason why everybody is so fucked off this season has absolutely nothing to do with him.

1. Burnley
2. Brighton
3. Middlesbrough
4. Hull
5. Derby
6. Sheffield Wednesday

Come on lads, we all know it's true.

Not for me at all. Really couldn't care less what Wednesday are doing.

I know what you mean, it would be a tragedy if the pigs go up.
However I cant believe we are still in this dire League, and we have gone backwards this season. Progress just never happened and lots of fans are finding excuses for the managers failings.

under adkins we have dropped into the bottom half of the 3rd division.that would be pretty shitty irrespective of how any else is going on.
them bastards are making it even worse tho.

On the plus side will have someone to actively support in the playoffs if they make it.

I don't feel sorry for him at all, he's earning very good money and doesn't appear to know what he's doing. I, like many others, thought it was an excellent appointment but time and time again, we've seen him make baffling decisions and changed tactics and formations so many times in a game, the players seem to not know what position they're playing or where they are supposed to be. He's playing players out of position and his general tactic to being a goal down appears to be 'throw more strikers' on which further weakens the midfield and defence that was already weak because he has failed to cover those weak positions that all the fans could see since last season and instead blew all the transfer kitty on another striker we, possibly, could have done without or at least was less of a priority.

I honestly wonder what they do in training all week, given the constant basic errors we see every single game from our players. There's no pace and half of them don't seem fit or strong enough to last 90 minutes.

On the evidence so far, I have grave doubts about his ability to build a team good enough to challenge for promotion next season based on his signings this season.

Oh and it really doesn't bother me where Wednesday finish. It wouldn't please me any more if they were bottom of league 2 and we were where we are, playing like this.

it is all to do with being in touch at xmas
and then only getting 18 points out of 16 games or out of 48 points
when 30 points would have been a reasonable but not great return

wednesday were going to possibly make a play off after 16 years of trying sometime
it has no bearing on how poor we are though
and they have to go up to make it painful, losing in a play off will only cheer us up

Absolute bollocks

Are you seriously saying we would all be generally ok with how things were going if the unclean were midtable?

Really?

Get back to me when Joses Colombian sherbets worn off

Good luck to S6 . Taken a gamble and it looks like it may pay off . Tad jealous , you bet .

More bothered and focused what's happening or more to the point what's not happening at S2 this season .

Next season may well be totally different but we do not want the kudos , financial standing , player buying power , support base of the young , to widen in our neighbours favour .

Another reason why we have to get our act together , as we are not a one city football club, but also surrounded by smaller towns with other football clubs for the floating voter football fan, to take a pick .

Sheffield is a bit of a back water city when it comes to football , let's not carry on being a back water league 1 club with a drop in bottom premiership , top championship support/ attendances , because fans are fed up and have had enough , because once they have gone , they will never come back.

More to do with..

1. Tactics
2. Hammond
3. Sammon
4. Woolford
5. Team selection
6. Results
7. League position.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. He's made a huge fuck up of things and if he is sacked for his incompetence he is going to walk away with a huge pay off.

We shouldn't have to relay on Wendy failing (that's a bonus to me) but do the business ourselves

As for feeling sorry for Adkins, he can wipe his eyes with his fat, bloated payslip -would anyone feel sorry for an incompetent tradesman who wrecked their house? and got paid well for doing so

Adkins = tosser

Nothing to do with that but I do feel sorry for him. He's been given an impossible task of promotion with very little in terms of resources. We all thought it would be easier as it was Clough's tactics that held us back last year. Other way around, his tactics (and Murphy) made up for his crap signings.
He's made mistakes but we all do as people. If I was the chairman I wouldn't be sacking him.

What an incredibly daft thing to post.

"Tragedy" behave yourself, many like me have been to Division 4 and back. Annoying yes

There is no doubt that the pigs doing well - for the first time in years - makes things even worse - and it will be awful if they go up.

But I think most of those who are pissed off with Adkins would be anyway. Another season of crap, boring, losing football - with numerous shocking defeats along the way - and the prospect of an all time low of 6 consecutive seasons outside the top 2 divisions.

Even the f'kin dingles are doing well.

But apart from that, everything is looking good.

I wouldn't whittle about us lot too much if I were you.

Can remember many moons ago being stood at Watford watching the Blades score pan across from the right on that long thin scoreboard.

Sheffield United 0 came across.

Many of the less scholarly chaps then started cheering as the second L in Walsall appeared, thinking it was a 1.

Then when a 1 did appear next, well, you can imagine.

So there were you in the 4th Division for the first time, and Wednesday back on the rise that would eventually see us back in the 1st.

Fast forward a decade, and, whoops! There are the Blades in the top Division and Wednesday back in the 2nd...

And in the more recent past, there were United, led by a seeming (to me anyway) dream team of McCabe / Warnock / Dooley.

And there were Wednesday in the shit, "led" by a chairman who thought it was a good idea to sue the club's own fans.

Really and truly a "comedy club".

So, in ten years time... who knows?

The real tragedy of Sheffield football is all we ever get to boast about is being slightly less crap than our nearest and dearest.

I Just don't want to spend 6 seasons in this horrible league

To quote St Kev McCabe of Brussels "we've had some wretched luck". Well that makes things alright then but at least next season's wretched luck comes at a 10% discount to the faithful.

I was also around in the Division 4 days, strangely some great memories from that season still linger.

Me too, but mainly because we were winning, had an innovative (for the time) manager, a solid defence and strikers who knew where the goal was. I'm not so sure with the current incumbents that Div 4 would be as much fun this time round...

I just keep thinking how on earth have we got into this position...we seem to be sinking in quicksand and not noticing until its up to our bellies,

Nothing to do with Wednesday more to do with the fact that apart from a handful of games this season we have,
1) Been average
2) Been poor
3) Been really poor
4) Been shocking
5) Been shit
6) Been excruciatingly shit

But the match day buzz is kicking in and once again I will make my way to the Lane, ever the optimist, UTB.

I felt for him a little when he hung himself out to dry on Twitter the other day.

Then I remembered he's taking home about 10k per week to perform a worse job than most people in here would do for free!

Twitter , emails , Facebook , there is no pulling back once the buttons been pressed , and any mistake , never mind how trivial , can help you fall on your sword when things are not going right , and you are becoming public enemy no1 or respect for you is dwindling .

The bloke should keep off sending tweets or whatever , which have no real relevance , only when you cock the message up, which although a genuine mistake , highlights incompetence. . I don't think giving him a character assassination is helping us or him , but Adkins having a dose of Beattie flu may do us all some good today .

Let's see what Crosby and Wilkins are made of as a deadly duo in charge . What will the conclusion be if we see a complete transformation in the side , and a resounding performance and result.
