I don't think that signing Cahill is beyond the realms of possibility but his good performances cannot be going unnoticed by villa not to mention the rest of the premiership.

Whilst O'Neil may have let Cahill leave on loan grudgingly, the bottom line is that he did let him go and so one must assume he is not currently in his first team plans.

I would be made up if we signed him but i have to say that his performances suggest to me that there will plenty of other interested parties if he were available.

One thing is for sure, we will be a far more attractive proposition if we continue our good form and are looking like contenders when January arrives.

Talking to a Villa fan earlier (a good friend), and he thinks it would just be the right price to talk Villa out of the contract. Cahill would like to be here.

Perfectly put, and only really Melberg you would expect to leave Villa any time in the near future.
