Why did we let Bartley go during the last week in the transfer window ?
He was on a season long loan, easily our best defender this season ( not a great accolade) with the shower that we call a defence
Whatever was in the minds of Messrs McCabe, Birch and Adams when we have in our squad, Nosworthy, Ertl, Mattock, Parrino, Calve, Jordan, now Collins who are all inferior players to said named Kyle Bartley
Is this part of the masterplan ?
I fail to see what qualities Doyle brings in to the team, we already have a surplus of midfielders that can only tackle and lose possession of the ball with consumate ease see Montgomery, Ertl, Quinn - experts in that department
And Bent, smells of a Cresswell type move - try whilst on loan - get contract and then toss it off whilst being paid handsomely.
I cannot see any progress whatsoever
McCabe and Birch ought to hang their heads in shame for total mismanagement on a grand scale.

The official story is he wanted to leave after we brought in Collins, but i think that is far from the truth.

KB:- Hi gaffer. I just wanted to know where I stand now you've brought two new centre-backs in. Will I still be in your team?
MA:- I can't guarantee anybody a place. You'll be part of the squad and have to compete for a first team slot like everyone else.
KB:- Really? I've been told that Glasgow Rangers want to take me on loan. I could be competing for silverware up there but you want me to stay here and warm the bench instead?
MA:- Well it's up to you, I don't want to keep anybody who's not fully commited to the cause and I could use your wages to sign loan players for other positions.
KB:- Bye then...

AW: Hi Micky, it's Arsene Wenger here, just calling to tell you we're taking young Bartley away and sending him to Scotland.
MA: But we have a season long agreeme...
AW: Shut your bitch ass foo'. Bitch be our player, and I'm the boss. You got that? Don't make me come up there and pop a cap in yo ass.
MA: But the fans aren't going to like this...
AW: Do I look like I give a fuck about your shitty club and your cocksucker fans? Get the fuck out of here, and get Kyle on the first train to Glasgow. Sheeeeyit.

Apparently, According to Micky he wanted to leave. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't but thats the line from the club.

Of course we all know the truth. Its a conspiracy by McCabe to bring down United and see us languish in the Blue Square south (following a successful move by the club to Margate, club renamed Margate-Sheffield United FC)
The club will then be wound up, McCabe will sell the ground to West Ham, citing the Tevez case and a legal loophole which entitles him to insist that West Ham buy our ground for 85 Billion if we end up in Blue Square South.
McCabe will meanwhile explore the mining rights of the lane. He'll employ Hungarian workers to exploit a coal seam, the mine will be called "The Margaret Thatcher memorial" it will be painted Blue and White and have statues of United legends Chris Waddle and David Hirst erected after they work for McCabe for a short period time following Blackwell turning down the job.

McCabe will hand over the profits for the MTM Mine to Sheffield FC, declaring that it is they who own the Freehold!

But in one last twist, Micalijo searches frantically on Companies House and sees that Sheffield FC are registered in Sheffield, Mic puts two and two together and summises that as the accounts were submitted on time, that it must mean that Sheffield FC are owned by Wednesday and all along McCabe knew about this.

I think thats why we let Bartley go back...

Why did we let Bartley go during the last week in the transfer window ?

Surely, if Arsenal have a recall clause in the contract (which it sounded like they did when Arsene Wenger was talking about bringing Bartley back to the club for cover) then what leg do we have to stand on?
He is their player and if the contract stipulates a recall then thats what they did - even though it was to send him straight back out to Rangers it doesnt really matter. Hes isn't our player
I cant really see how you can blame that on McCabe or Birch TBH. I very much doubt Arsene Wenger would have let Bartley come to us on loan without a recall clause anyway if thats what your getting at.

I cannot see any progress whatsoever

Have we been to different games recently (Norwich and Leicester)? I know we didnt win either of those games and we are still stuggerling to score consistantly but if you think those two performances were the same sort of sh1te we had a couple of months ago then i think you should stop taking whatever it is you are taking. In my eyes I can see an improvement - and i know we arent completely there yet, seeing as though we are in the bottom 3 but i think its a start.

I get the feeling that Arsenal will have been desperate to get him on loan to Rangers. Was there a recall clause in the contract? If there wasn't I think they will have probably offered compensation in order to terminate their loan agreement with us early.

i'm in agreement with swiss :).. what is valad's property portfolio for margate looking like?

Hmm just looked on Companies house. Seen some very interesting stuff which I should bring to your attention.

I found, MARGATE UNITED SERVICE MEN'S CLUB LIMITED, but they've been disolved. Could MARGATE PROPERTIES LIMITED be a cover for this?

But then I had a look at this MARGATE FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED, they really stood out as their accounts are overdue since 28/01/2011!

The final one though is perhaps the most significant finding THE MARGATE EXODUS LTD...

Its happening people, were getting moved to Margate!

I think the player and Arsene though that he would be in a winning team challanging for promotion and therefore good for breeding a winning mentality and toughening him up. The reality is much different and he's learning how to lose.

Are Rangers still in Europe? If so he'll get some Euro experience that we can't offer.

Also, from our point of view, his wages are top side of £7,500 p/w from what I've heard and he's taking up a loan spot. Permanent signing in, frees up a loan spot for tinkering, probably frees up a bit of wages to play with too. There have also been a few murmours on here saying he's not been very happy recently and he wanted to go. In which case fuck him, he is only on loan, in coming here it's just a mutual "use". He obviously didn't think we were as much use as another team.

Imagine if we went down and he was a near ever present in the worst defence we've had for ages. He probably sees himself winning something at the end of the season instead as being a better way to remember this phase of his career.

(I like Yoss's Arsene)

100% certain this is how it went down... Wengers trash task is legendary!

bartley heard a "massive" club were in for him, he was dissapointed to find it was only real madrid and not wendy so in protest he went to the blue jocks to sulk.
we were going to loan torres but couldnt scrape together his train fair from liverpool so he took second best and went to chelski instead :)

Who gives, he's gone, just like another Kyle did last Jan............we are shitty Sheff U, a wannabe big club, get over it

Right or wrong Micky wanted some experience in defence, he also wanted consistency and in the long run it doesn't matter how good Bartley is we can't build our defence around him because he was off at the end of the season anyway. As pointed out above it frees up a loan which gives him more flexibility. A tough call but on balance the correct one IMO.
