If we can getx £10m for him form an Everton or someone else equally as daft, cash in now and get someone better in ... Like having a wheelie bin upfront today .. completely useless,
Absolute nonsense - he’s has nothing to work with. O’hare gets bounced off the ball way too easily, Hamer is always stood in no man’s land and peck can’t pass through the lines to save his life, what’s he meant to do?

I rather try this one, (Water pistol, sorry Cannon) If we can getx £10m for him form an Everton or someone else equally as daft, cash in now and get someone better in ... Like having a wheelie bin upfront today .. completely useless,

His goal against Bristol City aside, he has been wretched. Not the only one, but he definitely looks like he isn't interested at the moment.

Any tactical genius taking us over would have watched last seasons games and realised you dont hoof the ball at him as the lone striker. You just dont play him as one!

It’s time for 3:5:2 again mi lads.

Campbell plus another pacy type also capable of playing off the shoulder and running the channels.

It’s a bold call and might not have room for one of our better performers so far this season (COH) who would have to make do with fewer minutes.

I’d be giving Barry a go centrally and ditch the wide players for the time being hoping that Godfrey or Seriki down the right and Burrows down the left can provide us with some width when we are overloading.

UTB

He’s feeding off scraps and like Hamer, cuts a very frustrated player at the moment. Granted he should have scored that header but let’s cut him some slack. He’s being used as a target man with the long balls we are playing to him and a target man he definitely isn’t
Absolutely bang on. We know if you feed him decent through balls and crosses he is a good finisher. Not sure he is closing down high press merchant either

I think it works both ways, he is definately isolated through the system (like the forwards were last season), but he does seem a little lazy (i suggested he might be carrying an injury and who else do we have).

A couple of times early in the first half, there looked a good opportunity to fire the ball across the area and no one was in the box (where Campbell should be), which seems strange because 15min earlier they were doing it as a warm up drill and they were bombing the box.

I do think he should have scored his chance in the 2nd half.

He also seemed close to Brewster last season and I wonder if Brewster leaving has unsettled him.

Whatever system is in place would require him to move about a bit.
Like he did last season to great success?
He's not the only one that has dropped off a cliff. Not making excuses for him or the others but something inside the dressing room is badly broken.
The owners have been delinquant or maybe naive in their understanding of football and what we needed recruitment wise pre season, but this cannot explain the rapid decline of the players that were performing at much higher level last season.

Try working a bit harder, try challenging the centre half for high balls, try running at pace down the channels, try putting there goaly under pressure on back passes, try getting into the box to offer options for the wide men.
Is that enough or do you need any more?

I’d bank on the next guy getting a song out of him. Good strikers are hard to find as we’ve found to our cost so the Cannon.
I’d expect a striker to look for openings rather than looking static. He needs a strike partner yes but we need more out of him.

He looks fucked after 60 minutes (like last season) but playing more.

I think his best is with a big lad next to him like Moore was before wembley.

We need two attacking players after losing a few and looking dreadful.

The only player who can put him through off the shoulder of a defender is presently wasted fucking about picking up the ball from the defence in the deep Ollie Norwood role he wasn’t designed for.

Campbell can't do it alone .Wall had some tall players who are willing to rough it up and win headers. We looked light and small today.
