Thought his finish on Saturday was worth singling out, it was absolutely top class.

Yes, so was the pass, albeit with a bit of fortune going through the defenders legs, but the first touch from Tyrese was perfect and to have the ability and composure to lift it is the sign of a top end striker who I have no doubt should be our main man next year.

It was a goal the likes of Henry, Rooney, RVP have all scored plenty of and if we can create more opportunities likes that for him we’ll be alright.

Brooksy, take note son.

It was a thing of beauty.
We were sat right behind the flight of the ball so could see it was in from the moment it left his foot.
A wonderful pass from Hamer followed by a sublime touch & dink from Campbell. His dad would have loved that one.
Agree he should be the forward we set a style of play to ‘cos he’s quick and can finish. The challenge is getting him fit enough & strong enough to play more time in more games.
He should start his pre-season tomorrow!

Hated the result but loved that feeling of him scoring at Wembley & celebrating with my son & my 7-year Grandson.
Thanks Tyrese.

I love Tyrese and think he's been a great signing, however a major issue is the inability to do 80-90 minutes in a game.
You need your top striker and let's be fair he is ours, and not being able to finish game's is a big problem, if he's on the pitch for the chance that brookes had he tucks that away and we win. That needs to be improved during the summer so he can last 90 minutes on a more regular basis

It's a shame as he clearly is a very good striker, however I don't think it's a fitness issue more like his body won't allow him to play longer without the risk of serious injuries.Lets face it if he could play a full 90 mins he wouldn't be playing for United, he would possibly be at a premier league club.

Can you imagine taking Sharp off after 60 minutes in a playoff final? No fucking chance! You need your goal scorer on the pitch in important matches.

I don’t care what they have to do over the summer, but Campbell needs to be able to complete 90 minutes. Doesn’t need to be every week, but at least when the need arises.

If he could last longer than 60 mins he’d be getting 15 mil plus bids- look at how mayenda never stopped running all game for sunlun. We lack that.

We ask Hamer and Campbell to run round like smaller, thinner, slower players. They are both explosive athletes. Quicker than they look like they shoukd be etc. But that sort of player, being asked to run lots of long counter attacking sprints will struggle to keep it up. You should build a system that gets the best from them for 90 or have a clear and definitive attacking plan for when they go off. United's plan is to try the same stuff but with worse players

Whilst I concur with the general argument, Sharp and Campbell are two totally different athletes. We should do better than to need him to play 90 minutes.

It was also his chasing down that led to us getting the corner that we “scored” the second from.

He didn't have a club over the summer and his dad's death and subsequent inquiry into it all probably didn't help over the summer. Let's hope we work on something with him over this summer so he can come back even better

I don't buy that he can't do longer than an 60 mins. All season, wilder has usually done a double change around the hour mark no matter what the score or how well some players are playing. Never really got that tbh.

He should never have come off. If it’s fitness so fucking what? There’s no more games he needs saving for. An awful lot changed when he went off.

The mistake was starting him and Moore. It should've been one or the other especially with the prospect of extra time. Neither are fit enough to do 90.

Did you see him? He was absolutely shot

It’s about preserving the fitness of players for a 46 game season… which became a 49 game season.

5 subs are allowed per game meaning that sides are potentially facing a generally fresher side with half the outfield being able to be replaced.

Games are also going on longer, 5-10 mins per half is not unusual

Players are physically built differently now from 20-30 years ago, less endurance in many cases and more strength / explosive fitness.

We’re not unique at all, this is the modern game

He's a sub striker IMO. Either we get a quality goalscorer in or hope Cannon can do it because he can't reply on him scoring the goal when he's playing then hanging on to it all game. For another season.

For those that critique Wilder on Campbell sub I think it's fair to say that Wilder wouldn't want to take off Campbell if he could leave him on. The medical team will analyse all aspects of every player and I would make a fair assumption that it's in this basis that Campbell gets subbed. He's had I jury issues in most seasons but this season has had a pretty good record but I suspect that's because he is managed.

I think he’s a class player at this level. Very clinical and explosive striker. An exceptional signing that the Wilder out crowd conveniently forget when bemoaning his transfer record.

Hopefully with a preseason he can play full 90s, he’s obviously had fitness issues as Cannon started every other game since he’s come in.

Being able to do 90 consistently at a high level of football these days is the exception, rather than the rule. If Campbell had the gas tank to go 90 every game, he wouldn't be playing for us, simple as.

Campbell was done, we all secretly know that.
He's an absolute class act but if we kept him on (over Moore) and they scored from a corner like they did late vs Cov, the other half of the fans would be slating Wilder.
Its a worry Campbell can't make 90min, but hopefully a full preseason will help with that because he could easily get 20+ goals next season.

Perhaps a few can go and run around for 90 minutes and include a few heavy sprints every few minutes and chuck in some crossovers or lateral running and see how long you can keep going for or more importantly how long it takes you to recover 😉

A full pre season with our fitness team and he might only manage 45 mins per game next season.

There seems to be something seriously wrong with our preparation. Has anyone considered that the way we regularly retreat into our shell second half might not be down to management instruction but fitness levels? We seem to be badly lacking in this area and it has to be looked at.

Give me a million quid a year and I'd give it a good shot 😊
