Whilst I'm past listening to words from Darren I'd like to think they'd learned form the Ndiaye saga that you get the forms signed before doing the photo shoots and social media rubbish.
Part of getting Ndiaye to do it was to try to influence him to sign. They still knew he was a risk. Hecky mentioned it in his RS interview just after Ili left.

Everyone's guessing, it was suggested he signed his paperwork with is yesterday, it was the contract with Villa holding things up. We'll see, wouldn't be surprised with any of the potential outcomes at this point

Deadline is noon on the last working day before the day of the match, ie noon today

Surely we all learn of the outome by 2pm if he is playing. Hecky press conference won't want to steal the thunder of the social media guys putting out a video. So video at 2pm....? Hecky to interview just after?

Yeah but he also thinks we have til tomorrow to register him, whereas Sky are saying otherwise with regards to that Doku at City

Hes definitely wrong on being able to play Sunday if going by official rules (which obviously we should be)

Latest can do it is 12pm on the last weekday prior to the game.

This can't be a thing surely, this is where 'third party' ownership comes in imo, in all but name.

4 games left, bottom 3.... and Archer knows if we are relegated villa have to buy him back and he gets a 10k raise in the process.... he'd just sack the fucking season off.

The relegation mandatory buy back is dodgy as fuck in itself, but negotiating a contract should that happen, well in advance is just sheer fucking lunacy,
Has anyone other than rumours on this forum confirmed any of this buy back stuff? Surely it's not in Villa's interests if he has an amazing season and they CANT buy him back. Even if we finished in the top half.

Received wisdom seems to be that there's a more traditional buyback clause with a higher asking price that kicks in if we stay up.

El accounto reckons he's playing Sunday

Isn't he basing that on the deadline being tomorrow at noon when 99% of us think the deadline passed today? Is he right?

It's almost like theres a whole host of utter bollocks and speculation spoken and perpetuated :)
