I don't think the season is over even if we lose all the games from now until The World Cup. The division is awful and 5 or 6 wins in a row would see us back in the mix.

The problem for me is the Injuries have been going on since the moment Heckingbottom came through the door. it could very well be bad luck and after the World Cup we look back at the injuries as a freakish set of circumstances. If the injuries continue though after the World Cup then it will likely cost Heckingbottom his job.

The most frustrating thing is how much it's there for the taking. I know all the clubs will say that but we were top just a few weeks ago. In a few weeks time we could be mid table. Whatever people think of the injury situation the players we've had available should have undoubtedly picked up more points in the last 5.
Not just top put 5 points from 3rd and 10 from 7th…..

injuries have no doubt been a problem, but we should have been putting to bed some of those teams over the last 5 games….2 points from 15 is inexcusable considering the teams played and also their form at the time of playing them.

When looking at that run of games we should have been looking at picking up 8-10 points min.

Since the international break we have played Birmingham, QPR, Blackpool, Stoke and Coventry only QPR were around the top six all the rest were either in or around the bottom three you can't sugar coat it we have been dreadful time to pack it in if we can't take nine points from those five games.

There’s 6 games against tough opponents before we even reach the WC break & we need to get out of this rut sharpish.
Granted this break will be the biggest present we’ll get in Dec & hopefully have a good few of the injured players back , but there’s important points to win before that .
Remember everyone last season saying if we’d only got those points early season we’d have been challenging for the autos .. guess what no different this season & starts again with another important game on Sat ⚔️

I don't think it's a given that we'll have more players fit after the world cup but we may well benefit from not having many players involved. It's just Ndiaye, isn't it now? It'll be like covid and we need to manage the break like a pre-season.

Whichever team manages the world cup period best will be in the driving seat for promotion. Lost of games coming thick and fast and if you're not prepared you'll lose the first 4 or 5.

Earlier this season I was concerned we would be in great form until the WC break and then wondering how we come back from it.

Now it's looking the opposite, we are desperate for a break for them to regroup!

We do have to bear in mind these injuries, questions should be asked for some though. Contact injuries aside why are we experiencing so many.

With any luck we will pick up some results. Norwich are shakey now too, so it's the battle of the out of formers come Sat!

It’s like the management are in the same view….get to the World Cup break…regroup… a team gunning for promotion CANNOT have this attitude….I go back to Heckys comments about only fitness training on the pitch, and tactics and how the team set up on video … remarkable comment, I don’t care if there’s only 10 fit players, the ethos of how we play should go through the club at all levels…..so if that means getting the kids in to train with the fit players available then so be it.

As Hecky said, we're going to be chasing at some point of the season. It's easy to pin point why our results have dropped off so hopefully they can be worked on.
We should be being chased with the start we had, we have a squad full of internationals who should know how to get results when our backs are up against the wall, instead all I am seeing is a team devoid of any real game plan that only seem to turn up in patches of every game, simply not good enough

I doubt that we come out bombing after the WC break we just don't do well after a break.
As for injuries we had them last season and they will continue, nothing has changed. The training ground was said to be difficult to practice on in the winter when the rain wouldn't run off and became boggy. Drainage has been corrected and under soil heating installed ready by the end of the month. This season's injuries have not come from a soft, boggy training ground we have not entered the winter yet.
