Watching the West Brom game, reminded me of that flair Callum Robinson brings into a team and I feel we could have used his talent greatly this season.

West Brom attack at pace and have a creative midfielder who can feed the ball through on the floor. Robinson looks much more comfortable in that style, and, therefore, looks a much better player than he did with us.

The bizarre thing is that, having seen that our ponderous build-up didn't suit Robinson and made him look lost, the manager then went out and bought another striker, Brewster, whose style is also ill-suited to our system. Unsurprisingly, he also looks lost.

The thing is that if we had Robinson back it would also mean no Burke and I think Burke has managed to consistently be a menace to opposition teams whenever he's played. I only ever saw Robinson do that for half a game at Chelsea and coming on at Man U last season.

I know Burke hasn't scored yet but overall I think the deal has been better for our style of play and I don't think Robinson would have been the answer to our current situation so I don't have any issues with the deal. Move was good for all parties involved.

Robinson is good with the ball at his feet going forward, we would tend to play the ball to him when he had his back to goal which did not suit his style.
None of this though will compensate for the fact that he is weak, is deceptively slower than I thought he was but most of all is nesh.

Forgot about that! compared to Mcburnie and McGoldrick he was a proper toedipper in the tackle

I must've seen United play away over 500 times and I genuinely don't think I've heard the levels of hatred that people used to spew out towards Callum Robinson aimed at any other player.

Not sure, I've not watched him since leaving us but I do wish we would have kept hold of him.

I wanted him for another season. if we really wanted Burke I don't think he'd have cost much.
Having said 'keep him' we still have Brewster, McBurnie, McGoldrick, Mousset, Sharp, (Burke) they can't all play every week.

One of the worst players we've signed under Wilder, especially when you consider the fee.

Slow, afraid of physical challenges and tactically inept. Don't try to rewrite history with Robinson. He looked out of his depth in the Fylde game

A top-end Championship/ potentially lower-end Premier League player when playing on the left of a front three.

He didn’t fit our system. Wilder thought he could develop him as a centre forward but he looked out his depth for us. It happens.

It wasn’t like he didn’t get the opportunities either.

Erm....cough.....Dean Hammond?

I hope we do go down because fans like you don't deserve to watch a decent team

No. But we wouldn't have lost against Chelsea if we still had him......

I wasn't that impressed with Robinson, but then again I wasn't impressed with DCL and he has been transformed!

What I’ve seen so far I feel a lot more confident of us scoring with Burke on the field than Brewster......But the price tag is always going to cloud that issue.

We didn't play Robinson in the same role PNE did.

Not seen enough of him at WBA to comment.

Sadly he looks more like a £20m striker than our current pair of £20m strikers...
