Uğurcan Çakır reaffirmed his position as the second choice goalkeeper for Trabzonspor, but after first choice keeper Onur Kivrak retired on January 16, 2019, he became first choice, playing 18 games in the Super Lig conceding 20 goals and having 2 clean sheets.

Those stats don't look great tbh! I know it isn't just about him, it's about the other players around him. Conceding 20 goals in 18 games is more than a goal a game (I don't know how much more than a goal a game because I'm not very good at sums). But the real concern for me is that there were only 2 clean sheets - and those were the ones on his bed apparently!

Correct.

The XG stats have Cakir as one of the top shot stoppers in Europe, hence all of the elite interest.

I think Ramsdale conceded one more than he should have according to XG, whilst Cakir conceded 7 less. Cakir on par with Henderson.

We can't afford an 8 goal swing next season, too many of our games were tight.

Yes I was just having a bit of a joke, but from the YouTube clips I've seen he looks very good, very fast reflexes and very athletic. I know YouTube clips aren't always a true reflection of a player - but the lad looks very quick to me and reminds me of a young keeper from many years ago, Peter Bonnetti, of Chelsea. They nicknamed him "The Cat" because he had similar fast reflexes and was very athletic.
