Perhaps a target but IMO it's refreshing that little is leaked from the club until deals are completed - a welcome change from recent years and regimes.

Will Webster join? Maybe - he'd be a good addition to the squad and at the very least an improvement on Wilson.

Will EE-L go back to Wolves in Jan? Again, who knows - Wolves i.e. Lambert may want to take a look at him although and therefore it is taken out of Utd's and the player's hands. However, Utd are keen on signing him and he is obvioulsy enjoying life at the moment - would he really want to go back there to play a bit part when he can be a pivotal figure in a promotion push and further cement his standing as a fan favourite?

Regardless of what happens, CW has certainly shown sufficient astuteness in the transfer market so far to afford our trust that he will continue to select the right players and sign them on sensible and realistic terms.

Interested as to how you know so much about Webster and how you've come to such a firm conclusion about Wilson? I've seen all the games that Wilson has played for us and I don't think he's done much wrong tbh - he just hasn't really stood out - apart from the goal he scored in what I think was his last game.

Not quite sure what you mean by "know so much about Webster". If you mean knowing about the player - I've kept an eye out for him since his impressive season with Yeovil when his partnership with Dan Burn was instrumental in them getting promoted (at Utd's expense of course). If, however, you mean hearing about the transfer rumour - it was widely reported that Utd made >1 bids for him over the summer and the rumour of Utd being interested have again surfaced this week.

Wrt Wilson - I thought he looked average at best in the games he's played so far. CW is obviously of a similar mind as he's currently not even making the bench. Admittedly, it's quick to make a definitive decision on him but like Hussey, it appears he's either not settled yet or is simply not good enough. Would you seriously play him instead of any of the 4 CBs currently ahead of him in the pecking order?
