Burrows is a strange case. I thought before the season he'd be one of the players to benefit the most from Selles taking over as it would give him more freedom to attack.
But so far he seems to be one of the players struggling the most with the new system.

Selling him would be very unwise though.

Anything over £10m and I would not be bothered about him going as to me he does not stand out as a player of exceptional ability, could be replaced and provide us with funds to strengthen elsewhere.

The less said about his defensive work the better. I'd actually be interested to see Robbo at LB in a 433.

I’m a big fan Burrows but theres absolutely no chance he is going to the prem currently. His drop off in form , along with Peck, would concern me the most so far this season. Looks a completely different player and it needs addressing urgently.

His drop off is possibly indictive that he's not yet found his feet under Selles or he's not fully behind the new manager. That might be disappointing if true but these things happen. Selles needs to get the likes of Burrows back to his best.

I'd still be very disappointed if we sold Burrows now, I doubt we'd get a like for like quality as his replacement.

My understanding of how it should work was the premise that we would frequently win possession high up the pitch. Everyone can see we aren't doing that to any extent. Burrows on one side and Seriki on the other could improve it.

Genuine question. Do you think the Sheffield United we know and love would identify a player to replace Burrows and then sort out a fee and negotiate personal terms in just under a week before the transfer window closes

He’s not had a great start to the season but he can be a creative player. Only look at his goals and assists for Peterborough. He’s a good penalty taker too.

It’s quite late to get a replacement. We should have a list, but we’re running out of loans and I’m not convinced McCallum is more than a squad player.

It’s quite hard to understand what has happened to Jamal Lewis. He seemed a bright prospect and disappeared at Newcastle. Ended up on loan in Sao Paolo. With only one loan left, he may be an option. Reguillon hasn’t got a club but doubt he’d want to drop to the Championship.
