Burrows/Peck

Wtf is happening with football and hysterical fans? Peck & Burrows both great success stories last year, both still young and will improve further. 4 league games in and some want them thrown under the bus. We look an absolute shambles at times under this...whatever fckn system it's meant to be we're employing. Some players who I'll not name have been proper shite and tbh need calling out, however while I grant these 2 are undoubtedly out of form (who isn't?) 4 games in to a season where the squad look bamboozled most of the time I feel these 2 along with others should be given some slack knowing what they're capable of but due to the tactical mess their being asked to partake in. I'm as pissed off as the next blade but let's try and keep our heads a bit huh?

Agree with some of the sentiments, but the lack of effort shown by Burrows on Saturday was diabolical. Tactics or no tactics, past achievements, doesn't excuse that.
 
Peck played well last season

Burrows … I think was somewhat overrated although he played well around the play off time he flattered to deceive for me a lot, and he is suspect defensively

Proper sense there Rusty. We can all see that things aren't right tactically and a number of our top performers from last season have not been at the races so far.
BUT, as you said, talk of sacking the guy after 4 games is daft and we all know things will change with the signings that have been brought in.
He has to be given at least 10 games and then the owners will have a decision to make if we are still s****

Of course he tried ,but got no help or protection from the player in front of him , only once which the commentators made a song and dance about when he did it.
Same goes for the other side, if you want to see lazy ,have a look at Andre Brooks.

Totally agree on Brooks.

Lack of protection doesn't excuse lack of effort. It was glaring.
 
Burrows is on the left with a lazy Barry, a Hamer being drawn into the middle and not helping while also trying to help a non league level centre back. He did not show a lack of effort, look back at it ,as I said like Peck he has been hung out to dry by this incompetent idiot with the crayons.

How do you know things will change with these signings, we don't all know things will improve.
These signings hardly get you excited except for Tanganga and will our better players still be here after 7pm ?

No no no 10 games an we are in a serious relegation battle. He needs to go now
 

It started to become a bit hipsterish to criticise Burrows last season despite being one of our standouts (in a team that was very shy of standouts). I feel for him at the minute. He’s one of the main ones being hung out to dry but other players and manager.

Re Peck, I think it depends on the formation we play. Our current system is actively destroying the career of a talented young prospect. Id sooner he had period out of the side than catch flack for playing a role he’s not up to.
