That's not wholly true. I remember several shots from our midfield, also part of my recurring nightmare loop.

And I do still think we've been quite unlucky this season. It helps nothing, but we haven't even got the Footballing Gods out of bed this season let alone requiring them to bring in special agent VARchangel.

Only place to get it right is on the training ground Sunday - Friday.

We (try to) attack through the flanks so we're never really in a position to shoot from outside the box.
Our central midfielder, Norwood, rarely ventures out of his own half because he doesn't have the legs to get back if he loses the ball.

I don't know what the technical name for them is, but we play to make those big chances you're supposed to score. We don't gamble. We try and move the ball across the pitch until we find that opportunity. Problem is, we do it so slowly that by the time someone tries to cross it or have a shot there are men back. Thus, it allows the opposition to close us down and every time we get a chance there's pressure on us.

it doesn’t matter if we are technically ‘in’ games if we can’t finish chances off. It won’t matter we are not completely horrendous defensively if we don’t do anything offensively.

would it matter if we tried to add some attacking pace with say Burke lwb and bogle rwb and we’re less secure at the back. We need to score more goals (and honestly I’d rather lose 3-2 or 4-2 and see some goals than 1-0 every week).

Difficult one. This strategy has got us where we are today. Creating big chances has taken us to two promotions and a shy at Europe. The question remains whether we can suddenly start taking some of them. Or, if it would be better to encourage players to have a go. Doesn't matter if they mess up, just take a chance. Have a go. agree - obviously it worked last year.

but the defence is no longer capable of keeping clean sheets - So we need to score one for the minimum of a draw .

I just don’t see the side we have suddenly being prolific and clinical. I’d also appreciate actually having something to cheer in games. I just can’t be arsed with hearing Sheffield United nil yet again.

The problem is I don't think we have the players ' to try something new'. We don't have that x factor anywhere, we need game breakers, players who can go past their marker and open the pitch up.

With the occasional excepting of Berge none of our team is capable of taking a man on and beating him. We desperately needed an Eze or a Buendia or Benrahama or a Brooks but we didn't sign one and we are left with too many players who's only.option is to pass it sideways or backwards. Hence when we attack the oppo is all.back and well to defend.
