These are all Burnley fans allowed to get close to the players. The one in X gets in the face of Choudy.

Yet Police are too busy trying to get hold of our player and dont bother with the fans, who are illegally on the pitch and breaking the law.

Yet Burnley wont get fined. For all we know our players were trying to get off the pitch and couldnt due to the fans in the way. It looks like our players were trying to get to the tunnel.
Heard something had happened with Choudhury at the end of the game, end of the day, fans don't belong on the pitch, made even worse by a highly emotional game on a bank holiday, probably half pissed and coked up in some cases, which is a recipe for disaster.

Forest Vs us, Forest got off lightly if I remember correctly.

Luton Vs Huddersfield the night before that, I don't remember Huddersfield being fined, and one of their fans went after James Bree (Luton) as well.

And of course they all have their phones in their hands to film it and probably put it on social media afterwards. What's happened to this world?

I really don’t care about fans and pitch “invasions” ( even though it looked like about 10 of them). You are a professional athelete. That means you conduct yourself professionally, in everything you do. We lost, they are promoted, get off the sodding pitch asap, ignore everything and behave. If some twat giving you the bird is going to wind you up that much, I wouldn’t fancy your chances of completing 90 mins in a big game. The culture and attitude is set by the manager - and he’s, evidently, a prick with no self control

It wasn’t anything like the Forest c*nt assaulting Sharpe in the play offs ..maybe a Burnley fan might have celebrated near him I don’t know ? They got promoted & gotten result on the day…Let’s not become mardy tw*ts if it was the other way around I’m sure a few would be giggling about it if it was the other way around … they be cannon fodder in the PL ( god help us too if we get up by the play offs ) as well be lucky to make double figures up there … hidden blessing ????

I agree it would have been better if the United players had got off the pitch a bit quicker. The problem was that most of the fans were coming onto the pitch from the stand adjacent to the tunnel so the United players had to go through them - they couldn't run away from them.

There were way more than 10 people on the pitch - I would say more like 200-300. I didn't think much of the couple who had two 5 or 6 year olds with them, cavorting around the penalty area in front of the United fans and being very irresponsible.

If someone comes and shouts in your face as happened to Choudhury, it's not surprising that he would react but fortunately a steward intervened.

I saw that the police were filming it.

I was talking to a mate after the game, although the Premier League is “the promised land” it’s not, it’s shit any team going up needs to spend £100million and the rest, you get “tourist fans” touts and with tickets costing over £40 each. You have VAR and get beat week in week out, with being lucky if you are in with a chance of staying up or getting to double figures points wise by Christmas. That promotion season from League 1 and the cup runs that we had under Clough for me were more fun. Being able to get an away ticket without having a 100,000 points was always a bonus

And there's more 🙄

Some of their fans are acting like utter bellends.

I was under the impression that was before the game when the coach arrived. Was it after the game?

We wouldn't be in the pitch, Gary Sinclair would tell us not to go on, because it was naughty.

And we'd boo the ones that did.

Scared of our own shadows these days.

I get what you're saying about players conducting themselves professionally, but that is a situation (that they shouldn't have to deal with in the first place) that can quickly escalate in an instant, and Forest a few years ago is not the only time a pitch invasion has lead to trouble.

It's been said on here and on other online platforms, that Choudhury was walking towards the tunnel (which is in the corner close to where he was) when the incident happened, and thankfully a steward intervened and escorted him away before situation could escalate further.

It’s indicative of the current evolution of society mainly driven by social media and the desire to see one’s-own life and actions re-enacted on the internet. Almost French revolutionary esk in the desire to mock and behead the haves (young rich footballers) by the uneducated, downtrodden have nots.
Evolving young people have/are losing the ability to think for themselves and are driven by the desire to show their “influencers” they are one of them and aspire to be one of them, rich and young, ironic as that is what they dispise and are mocking! Perverse? Yes, in a short time the “influencers” will become the despised when discipline and order are restored in society. YHIHF.

I really hope you are right but, sadly, I doubt it. We have a generation who, largely, are incapable of original and/or rational thinking. AI will only exacerbate the problem as it presents a single version of truth - all dressed up as research driven - which it isn’t

Modern life sadly. We'd have had a few chavs doing the same. All about social media likes and bantz today.

The issue for me is how so many were allowed to get on from the tunnel end and run towards where our players and staff were coming off.
On that, I could not believe how Wednesday allowed the amount of aggression from a gang of louts at the Sty, as our players went in.

I've never known a season like this for our squad scrapping.

Wilder & Robinson aren't exactly shrinking violets, but there's plenty of our lot who don't take shit too.

It's kind of good to see. But it's getting a bit Dog & Duck 😂
It's too much. Robinson .
Ahmedhodzic.
Choudhury.
BBD.
Hamer.
All liabilities on temperament.

Our players should have been straight down the tunnel. They've just got promoted so their players and fans are going to celebrate. Just get out of the way.

It looked like they were trying to do that and should have been allowed to with dignity. We were and are worthy opponents. The Burnley tunnel is in a corner of the ground where most of the Burnley fans illegally and unrestrictedly were invading the pitch and running towards them.

There was echoes of Forest here. No man, footballer or otherwise, is going to want potentially violent fans running at them like that.

As has been said, many of the fans were more interested in taunting our players and fans than actually celebrating their achievement.

Twatish behaviour of the highest order.

Chinese et al countries know what’s happening with the evolution of young people and are using the easy access of internet devices to use young peoples mental evolution against them and us.

We can all see it consuming everything around us and are powerless to stop it. Pandora’s box was well and truely opened by someone. Tim Burnese Lee has a lot to answer for

There seemed to be a massive police presence yesterday and I'm surprised that was allowed to happen.

All in all ( I'm not talking about the result) my experience at Burnley was one of the worst away days this season.

Like at Plymouth the security check seemed ridiculously thorough, being scanned front and back - I suppose in some ways it's better than being frisked but it did seem a bit OTT.

I went in the bar area hoping to maybe buy a cup of tea, but it was very overcrowded and I couldn't be bothered to push my way to the counter. Had a chat with a friend and then went to find my position just prior to the teams coming out. I don't know about anyone else but I can't remember having to climb such steep, narrow steps to enter the stand - after the game I saw someone struggling to come down them (obviously had mobility issues) but those steps are an accident waiting to happen.

Had a position in the safe standing area and was given a wrist band as I entered it - presumably to control people going in there. Bit surprised to then have 5 young lads sharing 3 positions next to me ( they were no problem and apart from spending a lot of time on their phones they were no problem.

My position obliterated the view of 75% of the goal at the other end so I couldn't really see what happened when we scored. As far as I know my ticket wasn't sold as restricted view - bit of a con really.

I didn't rush to leave the ground and observed all the pitch invasion - not as bad as the Forest incident but potentially pretty bad all the same.

Leaving the stand I confirmed those steps are potentially very dangerous and I'd be amazed if people don't slip and fall on a regular basis.

All in all I wasn't very impressed with my time there

That dean windass??

Shows a lack of control by our players granted be great to show appreciation to the travelling fans but get off the pitch let them celebrate.. I'm sure we would have done the same had we have won promotion
Well last we we won promotion at home we all stayed in the stands where we belong and didn’t goad the opposition players and fans.

Just waiting for Simon Jordan to come along and put all the blame on United. Bit like he did when it was Billy Sharps fault for letting his face get in the way of the Forest fans forehead.
And that forest cnnut darren fletcher saying our players were goading their fans, as if it justified them being assaulted.

Nothing will happen over this. Bearing in mind it took over a year after one of our players was assaulted at Forest before they got a mild slap on the wrist this is nothing by comparison. For those criticising our players over this get real. They were walking off the pitch and trying to acknowledge our fans. In our last 2 promotions we have allowed opposition players to do the same without supporters invading the pitch. Just poor crowd management by Burnley (same as Forest) but not worth getting hung up over. Not sure what the fan was saying to Choudray but pretty sure it wasn't well played and good luck in the play offs.
