Not saying he will be but if we carry on our poor run and blackwell does get the sack and in similar time phil brown gets sacked do you think he'd be a good replacement? Took Hull from nothing to the top division on not a huge budget and seems to get the best out of players.

feel free to add your view

I think he's a big headed, grade-A prick but the last one of those we had in charge took us up. I think he'd do a good job but would he end up being as divisive as Warnock and Blackwell?

Hes got the ego of Napoleon, the beard of Ming the Merciless, the tan of Kilroy Silk and the talent of Danny Wilson. A proper turbot in my opinion and we should steer well clear.

well who knows but if you look at possible replacements (which is a little unfair seeing as blackwell is still our manager i know) most managers who have been out the game will want a nice big transfer budget where as brown would be walking straight from one club into a good side the only other is mowbray who i don't think will last long at Celtic if they carry on there average run they have only won 2 in 9 at home apparently

Now Mobray is a guy I would have loved at United but, without knowing the ins and outs up in Scotland, if you cant turn out a Celtic team which spanks everyone but Rangers you really do have to ask questions.

Absolutely no way!

We want a manager to get us there and keep us there! Ok Brown kept them up a season, but they were very, very fortunate! Sataying up with 34 points and not winning in 20 games (or so) is a bit of a joke.

Don't care about his arrogance, ego, tan, or anything about his personality. However I DO NOT rate his as a manager. A big fat NO from me!

so who would you like?? Don't get me wrong a bit naughty when we have still got a manager.

Turned Hull into the sort of team I despise.

Always around the referee, contest every decision, over react to every challenge, the whole nine yards. That stuck out like a sore thumb in our division but is pretty much the norm in the Prem.
He worked under Big Sam so I imagine he'll have picked up a trick or two from another manager who I have no time for.

I'd take a punt on Paul Jewell still being an able manager and not having a job at present.

Brown is a tosser that got lucky!
We don't want him within 50 miles of BDTBL even Hull is too close!

agreed he would be my number 1 choice to just not sure we'd get him til the end of the season

So stick Speed in til the end of the season. He can't do much worse than Blackwell. He could get us playing football and hence be a long term option.

I'm not normally prejudiced against somebody based on the colour of their skin, but there is something really shifty about these orange bastards that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

I thought this thread was going to be the annual rumour about Michael Brown coming back...

In the JTW Rev - FACT.

Oh and for next Manager I'd like someone who doesn't prifix the name of the club on every report a la "Neil Warnock's Sheffield United" or "Bryan Robson's Sheffield United". That, amongst all his other ills, precludes Phil Brown.

No, No, No

Please no, I work in Hull and have to say it has become the Phil Brown show, he is an ego gone mad and that is probably why they are where they are now. He did really well to start with but it went to his head culminating in him making up stories about talking jumpers off the Humber bridge whilst on a training run.

Added to which his dodgy tan, even dodgier jewelry he is the new big Ron without the footballing nouse!

Hull are already 30 million in debt allegedly and it seems their wage bill is 40 million a year.
Is that what we aspire to? Not on your nelly. If they get relegated they really will be in deep do do.

How come no-one has mentioned Alex Sabella for our next Manager, isn't he now the manager of Estudiantes and hasn't he just won the Copa Libertadores in his first season.
Imagine another 'Ticker-Tape' welcome like he used to get with all them betting slips being torn to shreds and thrown in the air when the players all came out of the dressing rooms in the old stand. Them were the days....
