So, probably saving him before an offer in early Jan.

Wasn’t he training yesterday?

I'm pretty sure Chris said that he was either training or going to be training. Maybe, he has a flea circus at his parents' house? Just keeping his hand in.

CW was joking about the games after Sunderland (it was said very tongue in cheek which made it sound like he was teasing Giddings and Brooks).

Please just be back for the Wednesday game David.

I was thinking exactly the same!
It may have been a giveaway if we had said Brooks had Beattie flu so I think wisely we have settled for tonsillitis and none of us will see through the smoke and
Mirrors.

No-one can stop you seeing through smoke and mirrors that are in your own head.
I’m afraid Harris smoke and mirrors are all I cling on to as without them my head is a vacuous chamber of Bladey claptrap!

It'd be nice if just once we realised that selling at the earliest opportunity isn't necessarily the best deal for the club or the player! Whatever he goes for now, if he goes, he'll be likely to go for twice as much this time next season, or maybe another £5m if we sell him in the summer when we can have more time to find a replacement.

In the past also players wanted to leave but it certainly doesn't seem the case with Brooks. I think he knows that if he left for the likes of a Spurs, Liverpool etc, which seem to be the most likely, that he'd be out on loan again anyway. May as well stick with us and play first team and when he does move, he can be more likely to go into the first team.
