Bristol Rovers - Moving in on our club crest.

I think most cutlasses were made in Birmingham or London. I did read on wiki that some were imported from Solingen in Germany! Solingen is the cutlery capital of Germany. No mention of them being made in Sheffield in that article. Good to know that there were some Sheffield makers.

Clubs won't be happy until their logos are a soulless but ever so simple, generic, easily replicable logomark that can be more easily used for TNT Sports' pre-match graphics. Never mind the history, or the quirks. It's the Costa coffeeification of design.

What a time to be alive.

For the last couple of years they have tooted a rebranding of the club and hinted at the use of crossed swords in referce to their maritime history and Pirates nickname.

But on sky news I have just stumbled upon an article with Kier Starmer holding up the Rovers shirt and I am saddened to see the crossed swords or scimitars on proud display on the upper rear of the shirt. How much of our club logo is trademarked or copyrighted (which ever applies). For me they are already infringing on our identity! Whilst they have the maritime history, we have used the clubs crest for decades now.

It actually bothers me, is it just me?
