Probably did just enough to deserve that win in what was quite a boring game.

Kept the ball well but our pace of play is way too lacklustre.

Sharp decent, caught offside a few times. Great penalty.

Brewster really sub par, got to do more.

Bogle decent but end product was lacking.

Basham and McGoldrick equal shouts for MOTM.

Did we play Bristol in the 3rd round and Bristol again tonight? Amazing that they were still in the cup after losing.

Bogle's performance against Bristol tonight, deserved a goal, like the one he got against Bristol.
Still, at least we got further in the cup than Sheffield this season, thanks to Sheffield fan Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

We should have put it to bed before the penalty.

Same old, we don't take our chances. But if we did take our chances ....

Funnily enough half way through I thought "haven't we already played these?"

Then "nah, that were Plymouth weren't it"

There's the added pressure of the last 8 at stake, and being the cup, any underdog fancies it more than they "should"....so overall am happy with that, did what was needed.

I’m just hoping we play the only team that can be justifiably called Bristol in the next round, the oldest team in Bristol..... (I don’t think there is another Bristol team left in the cup but I’ve had a few vocation beers by now)

2 Bristol clubs turned over now to do over the 2 Manc clubs and party on. As I said on another post we did enough to win. They didn't really threaten us and usually they have a few goals in them. The commentary team were nearly as bad as the weather

It made a refreshing change to see a proper game of football for once. No play acting or opposition players throwing themselves to the ground or rolling around on the floor. Might not be so bad going down after all.....
