See the Bristol game time has changed to a T time kick-off due to SKY.Screenshot_20220323-064411_Samsung Internet.jpg

The Easter TV schedule is actually quite good for the armchair fan or those who cannot attend for whatever reason.

Will invigorate the Bristol City fans and players being on TV,we have first hand knowledge of how a City team can be invigorated by being on TV.

While fucking over the fans that also pay the players wages.

Yeah, I don't like it being moved either, but that literally isn't the case in any large percentage until you get down to possibly League Two. Don't get mad at Sky, get mad at the archaic rules that say you can't televise 3pm games.

Televising 3pm games would hurt attendances and further diminish football in this country. Sky are responsible for enough of that already.

I’m not sure it would. The constant moving of fixtures seems to be the thing that affects attendances more than anything else.

Traditionally, Saturday 3pm is the vast majority of people’s favoured kick off time. Look at all the moaning on here when a fixture is moved. It becomes a ballache for a lot of people.

The bigger fixtures would probably still get moved to get a bigger TV audience regardless. Cant see many people missing their teams game to stay in the pub and watch Watford v Burnley at 3pm.

I'm not sure it would, but it's not unreasonable to think it might.

People wouldn't swap their team for Watford v Burnley at 3pm, but a decent amount of Watford and Burnley fans might stay home/at the pub instead.

Reight pain in't arse this, had Easter weekend all planned out but needed the kick off to remain at 3pm...bastards!

So moving a 3pm Ko to a 12.30pm KO for Sky does not hurt attendances?

Maybe 10 or 15 years ago but games are so much more accessible now via VPN’s etc that anyone who wants to find a stream of any game probably can do if they dont want to attend.

The closest barometer we’ve got is the midweek games on the red button. Ordinarily only one of those games would get chosen but now they are all available. That hasn’t really affected attendances as far as I can see.

i dont see the issue we in are in play offs race & looking at schedule mattbianco1 put up. the top 9 in the championship bar blackburn are on tv. some like Middlesbrough, Forest & Huddersfield have been chosen twice. forest have been massively shafted. for us it could be far worse they couldve stuck us 8pm kick off

some people just like to go off at the deep end & moan regardless instead of taking a step back & looking at the whole picture

Some Blades fan will be delighted it has been moved for a TV game with how much the Robin's are charging the away fans when game on Telly and how much it will cost to travel there and back

I like it, mean’s I don’t have to get up as early to travel down and more drinking time in Bristol. TV is for those who can’t get to the game for different reasons like work, illness and many more reasons, but if you go to the games it doesn’t matter what day or time we will still be there

Sure those Sunderland fans will be chuffed having their furthest away day on the Monday.

It was 3pm on the Monday anyway. It's just it's on TV as well now.

Good Friday and Easter Monday games are all defaulted to 3pm. The only ones that move are the one's chosen for TV.

Can't really blame Sky for that one although I'm sure some would.
