We are a great club again. We always were but various fuck ups and well intentioned mistakes brought us pretty close to our knees. However, yesterday for me was the point where I was once more proud to be a Blade. Not because of our promotion but the manner of it. Possibly makes it akin to promotion from the old division 4 and perhaps our promotion to the 1st division in 1990. Now we are playing good football, scoring great goals. A manager who rarely said anything negative about officials even when we were losing. A manager who is a true leader and not self interested. A team led by a local lad who is so proud to wear the shirt.
Coming back from the abyss has been painful. However it finally seems the board are supporting the manager who in turn is giving them the faith by his quality signings and the infrastructure he is building.
The ground looks quality especially when filled with 30,000 blades. The pitch looks better than I ever remember it.
The fans have always been the cornerstone and through everything going off within the club it feels like one again. We are exceptional and finally have something to cherish.
To all those bemoaning the media coverage fuck em. If they don't want to jump on the train then it is their loss. Our quality as a club will shine through. Now we are in the Championship we will be difficult to ignore.
To those at the club, you have got it right. Just keep doing what you are doing.
