was watching old footage of us on you tube, some good stuff on there, got me thinking about some of the old songs that we sang and could possibly bring back and even change some for players in the current squad.
may seem like sacrilege but we change woodys song to 'jamie jamie murphy on the wing' quite easily and its simple and catchy enough for everybody to sing!
makes me laugh when a bloke near us still sings 'oohhhh its a corner' when we get one!

Lads in front of me always stand up , punch the air and shout 'Boot boys' when a chorus of United goes up.

Didn't think the heads kicked in one had ever gone away! Unlike the you're going home in a sheffield ambulance song and SU SUF SUFC ok

Used to love that one, reminds me of Mi-Mic-Mick-Mick Jones

“Now, boys, now, boys, now for a jolly spree,
Ran, san, tiddly-ann, come and have a round with me;
Come and have a round or two, I don’t care what you do,
But I say, clear the way, for the rowdy dowdy boys”

If you go down to the lane today your sure of a big surprise
If you go down to the lane today you'll never believe your eyes
Bet you don't know the rest? ;)
From the 60's BTW

I remember that one Mad Mick - something about Jeremy the sugar puff bear in the next line -really.

I think the next big retro thing for next year should be

We've travelled far and wide
London to mrseyside
etc etc

or, who remembers?

With a knocked kneed chicken and a bow legged hen????

go on then.................

For Jeremy the sugar puff bear has put on his boots and cropped his hair
and he has gone to join the Shoreham skinheads

There is a dark secluded shed, where Wednesdayites daren't show their heads.
2 more lines if you know them.
To the tune of Hernandos hideaway

And finally:
If I had the wings of an angel
The dirty great arse of a crow
Next two lines wins a season ticket to Pigsville. :)

Wish we could get a football version of Champion of the underdog. I think it would sound amazing if everyone started to sing that.
