My last match. It was fucking ace. Cold, Christmassy and a great victory. Route one, McBurnie doing what he should do, Didsy missing a sitter. Fans chucked out, and feeling good on the train back to Brighton central.

Aye, I was there.

Extortionately priced fish and chips on Brighton Pier, followed by a game that will always go down as "that day McBurnie was good".

Those seats are very comfy by the way. I broke my not sitting down at away matches policy to try them out at half time. All in all, a day pleasing to both the eye and the arse.

That was probably the last good away game , we kept scoring goals that VAR rubbed off. (Palace was a drab affair won with a blunder by their keeper). The Wolves game, also in December, was for me the most enjoyable away game although getting a pint in city centre before was hard work. I loved watching Traore trying to rip us apart but we stood firm and had Wolves on the back foot for a few spells.

I won't miss games against City, Liverpool etc but really enjoyed those close competitive affairs against the middle ranking teams....ah well, see you in 2033 Premier League (if history repeats itself)

Nice stadium, decent fans, great singing on the concourse after, good craic at the station and on the train after. That bloody rain though. Happy days
