Could be a possible link for players in the region! Screenshot_20190707_195437_com.android.chrome.jpg

Is he going to need a bigger back pocket?

Well done to him for exploring options like this. There are well trodden paths of punditry /coach /agent but this is about as left field as it gets. He always seemed quite introverted to me but this following his willingness to manage in Norway as well points to some real strength of character. He'll always be the only Deano for me.

Agree Blade for Sale,

It’s so left field that even though I’m seeing the tweets and photos part of me is wondering if it’s a hoax?

Deano has always been interested in coaching, so I wonder if he’ll make himself head coach at his own club?
Also I thought that Kosovo was traditionally quite racist and not welcoming towards black skinned people. An incredibly brave move.

That was my first thoughts.... extremely right wing country.

It's not true, I tell thee. Was sent here via 🦀 industries. It's all part of the world domination 🤫

I need decent help as I relax into semi retirement back at the Mablethorpe Condo and spending my days playing Pirate Petes Crazy Golf. In a tragic case of miscommunication my text to Rooks asking if he knew anyone who could buy me a club (the putters at Pirate Petes leave a lot to be desired) well this is how it ended up.

Not great after my recent accusations of hate crime when I end up with a club based in a country that makes Combat 18 look like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I've asked Sean Thornton to clear up the mess, it's 2 for 1 on shots at the Golden Sands Caravan Site tonight and a passable Elton John tribute so I'm "busy".

Just struck the deal to import the Kosovan traditional foods (savers) from our Attercliffe factory via Kefalonia. Took Vern with me and he was attacked by mosquitos on the first night. By the second, every mossie on the island had fled to Ithaca. (Which has caused Vern to develop a lisp).

The local restaurant's weren't to enamoured with the "Mouseaka" you sent over either.

Well that's £12.50 he will never get back o_O If this is all kosha though Good luck to him, Deano was a TOP Blades. UTB

Well the recipe said mouse was the main ingredient so that's what they got.

Good old Vern, making friends wherever he goes.

Should have put my phone on silent, was just lining up a putt on the 9th. Got as much chance of breaking 50 as I have of landing on the fucking moon now.

Fucks sake.......

Maybe not as crackers as you'd first think.

Kosovan clubs are able to enter Champions League/Europa as of 17/18. The CL qualifier round alone pays 230,000 eur + tv and advertising money that comes with that level.

3 different Kosovan clubs have competed in CL qualifying rounds in the past 3 years - doesn't seem to be monopolised by 1/2 top teams

Now how much is a club in Kosovo worth I imagine? Can't be more than 500k?

And then what do you have to spend to compete for top spot in Kosovan leagues? And bare in mind Deano will have strings to pull for free loans from England...

Could be a very astute investment if he plays his cards right!

edit: they need a uefa license first before even thinking about Europe! but who knows... it's a risk but they could do well!

When you say it's an extremely right-wing country, is that because you have been there and have first hand knowledge? I haven't been there - just surprised that people think it's a right-wing country given its history.

I've been to Bosnia, Montenegro and Croatia. Perhaps I'm naive to include another ex Yugoslav country in this, however considering they've all been guilty of racial abuse...I'd fancy my presumption.

There are plenty of examples could be brought forward of the UK being guilty of racism. Your presumption is probably right although misdirected. The racism against the Roma population is a given, just as it is across the whole of the old Soviet block. But there is really no evidence of right-wing extremism in Kosovo. It's been ethnic Albanian, which is de facto Muslim, since the Ottoman empire.

Travelling in Serbia, I was happy just to get out of the country. Montenegro was so scenic it almost helped me ignore their attitude. In both countries, I sounded them out a bit about their attitude towards Albania(ns) and was warned how I'd be robbed and possibly murdered - they continually used the trope of calling them terrorists.

When I travelled on to Albania afterwards and sounded them out about the Serbs, the response was generally to look pitifully down at the ground and shake their head - they were not interested in talking about it.

I realise I'm discussing this on the wrong forum at this stage...

yes you're right. I've lived in that area, not specifically in the former Yugoslavia, but very close to it. I've also travelled there and worked with folks from there and I'm afraid it is like going back 50 years in terms of their attitudes to race. And sexism actually. They just haven't moved with the times. Serbia is another example.
