Both absolutely crap today, both simply stood by the centre backs and allowed themselves to be marked out of the game. No movement from either and mcburnie was throwing himself to the ground like a young jack grealish but with zero footballing ability.

Its no surprise sharp scored and had a decent volley saved, he moves and attacked the space... He's a proper striker albeit he's too old now

I can hear it now.... 'But they both scored for Swansea 4 seasons ago' blah blah blah...... Who gives a fuck get these two absolute dog shit strikers out of our football club as soon as possible

the trouble is we are stuck with these forwardsit got to be up to the manager and coach to get them doing movements but in reality they should not need this coaching for the amount of money they were bought for and wages they are on and it's no use bringing in the youngster's they are no ready but we need a lot of new blood in this team and to move on about 4or 5 players who just didn't do it last season and still carrying on were they left off

No he didn't, there were a few players today who did have good games Basham, Baldock, Berge, Davies, RND and for a good chunk for once it was enjoyable, but Brewster and McBurnie were anything but decent. McBurnie looks at the ball rather than head up- he's truly a laughing stock. He need to forget dropping deep and goal hang.

Good god no... They are absolutely wank, other than the price tag Brewster doesn't deserve to be in our under 23 side

Part of our problem is that we are so one dimensional when we attack. Get the ball wide and cross it. Rinse. Repeat.

We've forgotten how to run at players with the ball, forgotten how to open up defences with passes through the defence, how to make runs for players to pass ahead into. Or at least we don't do this often enough. We just look to get it wide and cross it in all the time. This is where it was great having Duffy in the team, or Didsy when he dropped deep in the first half of the first season back in the Prem.

Our players are ingrained with one tactic and one tactic only and this is all these players now know. Teams know that this is all we do and flood the box with players and sit deep to nullify the inevitable crosses, or just shut down the wide men so they * shock * pass backwards. Although Baldock frustratingly does this anyway once he's beaten his man instead of putting in an early cross.

Same with the midfield. They don't look to run forward or to pass to each other, they immediately look for the wide men as soon as they have the ball. Teams quickly mark the wide men and the midfield have no plan B. So they pass backwards.

Berge at least on occassions tries to burst forward but he doesn't release the ball until he's in the 18 yard box by which point the strikers are already marked and the only option he has is to try to pass it through a crowded box at close range.

It's so painful to watch.

If McBurnie & Brewster turn it around- great I'd be first sing their names and congratulate them. But what we have seen so far it's beyond bad, so far it's been truly woeful. They both have zero impact, and for all this lack of service, at 20 million a piece you'd hope they could surprise us a do it on their own now and again.

There were some good crosses going into good areas but our strikers weren't there. Jebbos goal against Everton happened because he got into an area were the ball should be played. It was and he scored. The two today didn't get into areas where poachers, strikers lurk. An overhead by McB was 15 yards out ffs. The glancing header by Brewster was 12 yards out. Their best chances. Sharp gets two chances 8 yards out and buries one and should have buried the other. So, yes creativity in midfield is sorely lacking but the strikers are not a threat in the box. Slav get it f'n sorted or shoes could be coming off
