Would love for the beard to rekindle his love for Sheff Utd next season.

Very shrood business if we gain promotion and keep hold of him.

i cant see the beard coming back here i just hope if we sell him we get a decent fee for him however if we did go up could still be a very big player for us its chrissys decesion though

Don't think Wilder's bothered about him in the slightest. He won't play for us again.

I'd have to disagree I think the reason for him being out on Loan is strictly financial. I wouldn't be surprised if we go up he's the starting RB next season. Seems daft to spend money and time to find a replacement who is likely to be on par or just below Brayford.

We're apparently looking to sign someone to compete with Freeman at RB/RWB. If that player is a permanent signing, then I don't see any place for Brayford next season.

I have no idea of the aftermath to the following, it's fairly innocuous so I'm not suggesting this was the reason why Brayford went on loan or why he won't come back, but:

When Wilder took charge, he brought forward the date that players returned to training after their summer break. Brayford had organised a holiday (some extravagant trans-continental travelling type thing with his chums) that he had to cut short/cancel and there was a small row between them about it.

If Brayford impresses for the rest of the season I've no issue with him coming back and challenging Freeman for right back (I think we'll go back to 4 at the back next season if we get promoted) but only if he's happy to start the season on the bench while Kieron has a pop at proving himself in the championship. He's earned it.

There's only really Burton that will take him and sadly I think they'll get relegated so we might be stuck with him anyway.

the thing is hes a championship player and hopefully thats where we will be next season hes still our player and can still be a big part of us establishing ourselves in the championship so i think weve got to keep an open mind on this one in any case weve got to trust in chris to make the correct decision

He's a bit of an arsehole unless he's with his daddy Nigel though, apparently. So all things considered it's Wilder's decision, if he fucks him off I've no problem with that either.

We don't need him

Or Ched

We're top of the league

Without 'em

That is all

My Love for the beard has dwindled, if he don't wanna play by the messiah's rules then tatty byes!

If however he does come back, gives 100% and forgets his daddy issues then ill welcome him back and cheer him on like the rest of the lads.

No-one is bigger than the club. UTB

It's strange how you can turn on someone just because Nigel Clough likes him.

Overall, Brayford played well for us. On his day he wipes the floor with Freeman. If CW has his differences with Brayford then he should sort them out like he did with Freeman (ironically).

The other way round; if Brayford wants to play for us he has to sort his differences out with CW. If he does, fine by me.

The onus the manager to sort out work place issues, not the employees. This can take many forms such as discipline, motivation and ultimatum. I'm sure this was the case with Freeman (&Coutts). As I said before, there seems to be an underlying resentment towards Brayford purely due to his association with Clough.

Freeman is a good L1 player, Brayford is Champ. Would stick with Brayford if we get up IMO

Not where I worked. Personally, I've no resentment at all, don't mind him back. In fact I'd love to see that bloke who played in our FA Cup run.

Brayford looks great bombing forwards but defensively he is suspect.

Our biggest defensive weakness last season was the number of times wingers got in behind Brayford and got good crosses in.

It may have been partly down to the shape we played but defenders also have to take responsibility for their own duties too.

That said if Wilder wants him back I won't complain.

Friendly with Clough. That's enough for some.

Maybe there is a bit of something in it Sean? First guy I worked for, Roy Brammer, was an effective Boss and a good man. I'd have walked through walls for that guy. Sadly never really worked for anyone like that since. Maybe thats how (for whatever reason) it works between Brayford & Clough, who knows?

Shouldn't be a reason to castigate him at every single opportunity. Expensive flop? Yes through injury. Arsehole? Notvthat I can see. Everyone I know who's met him and a few on here say he's sound.

Roy says he can't remember you :)

No it shouldn't, I saw the logic of signing him. A little expensive maybe, but I'd have gone for it if I'd been in the Board / Managers position. you weren't just buying the player but the momentum that came with him. And yes by all accounts, a decent bloke.

If Roy is still alive (it'd be great if he is) he must be in his nineties now so he probably won't remember much. I use to fetch his Dinner from Beres and he drove a white Toyota Cressida with a black vinyl roof. The air con "unit" was in the boot and was the size of Jupiter :)
